Quo Vadis, Democrats?

The Democrats didn't just resist Trumpism in last week's elections; they overran it.  In Virginia, Democrat Ralph Northam not only held on to win the governorship, he won by nine percentage points - thrice the margin the polls predicted.  And if that weren't enough, Virginia Democrats held the lieutenant governorship (elected on a separate ballot, unlike in New Jersey), held the attorney general's office (New Jersey's attorney general is appointed by the governor), and possibly won enough seats in the lower chamber of the legislature, called the House of Delegates, to get a majority, though that outcome is still uncertain.  What's more certain is that the House of Delegates' new Democratic caucus will have a more diverse membership, including an Asian woman, Hispanics, a transsexual, and an anti-gun advocate who was a news …

Unity in Diversity vs Disunity in Ideologies

Question: Give an example of ethnocentric behavior in your country. Has it helped or hurt your country?   Answer: The system of apartheid in South Africa (that ended in 1994) was largely based on ethnocentrism. Many, if not most apartheid policies were created from a positio…

Why GE is in such bad shape

The reason GE is in such bad shape is that Immelt was the anti-Welch.  There was a LACK of focus on being #1 or #2 in the market place after Welch left, and of course you can judge your "markets" wrongly but that is not what has happened.  GE and other major companies have rigorous ways to…

Give the progressives their due

The progressives' strategy including its Alinsky tactics have been successful.  They have patiently and consistently been able to assume leadership (ownership?) of the education and communication institutions of America.  Familiarity with, much less appreciation of, the history and values …

The Joys of Jury Duty

There are at least two places you can go to that puts you fully in touch with your communities: The DMV, and Jury Duty. Of the two, I’d say that Jury Duty gets you much closer, because that includes all of the retards and patricians that are either too stupid and fucked-up to legally drive, or…

Hey, Hey We’re the Monkeys

OK… :) Bear with me… there’s a point to this story…   If you start with a cage containing four monkeys, and inside the cage hang a banana on a string from the top, and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb t…

Stop Funding Hate

THERE is a timeless parable attributed to the wise Cherokee Indians about two wolves. A grandfather is with his grandson and tells him that we all have two wolves inside us. One is a good wolf, representing love and all that is kind, noble and true; the other is a bad wolf, representing hatred, oppr…

Say no, Moore

A Brief History of England

45,000 words! Way ahead of schedule on National Novel Writing Month.  Naming characters is one of the great joys of a fiction writer, when it's not one of their great nightmares. We all want to come up with the next Sherlock Holmes, or Indiana Jones, or Stan Lee. …

SUPPORT GOD AND NOT TYRANNY

Identity is a critical matter.
