Pope Says World Is At The Brink Of Nuclear War

  Shortly before his trip to Chile and Peru about 5 days ago, the Supreme Leader of the worldwide Catholic Church, a.k.a. The Bishop of Rome, a.k.a. the Pope, issued some dire pronouncements. His prognostications were quoted in magazines and newspapers all around the world.   Pope Francis told reporters on Monday that "we are at the very limit" of nuclear war. He went on to say that he was really afraid about the danger of nuclear war: "I am really afraid of this. One accident is enough to precipitate things."   No shit. Possibly it might help if human population wasn't at 7.6 billion people and accelerating while showing no signs of slowing down, the consequences of which force people to dig through steaming garbage dumps in Mexico and the Philippines (both hyper-Catholic countries) just to feed themselves.
