Islamophobia

Xenophobia - a fear of people from other countries - is a natural part of human nature right across the world. Often it tips over into racism - prejudice, discrimination and dislike of other races based on the principle that 'our' race is superior - which is even worse.   While both of these attributes are common, even natural, they are not to be considered desirable.   In previous times different races and cultures were kept apart by natural barriers - oceans, mountains, huge rivers and deserts. Only the more adventurous would get to travel and interact. Nowadays we live in multicultural societies and mix with people from other cultures and races on a daily basis. That creates tensions.   Over time we have, in Britain, been exposed to waves of immigration. As a great sea-faring nation who set up a huge trading culture that…

The liberal male: An endangered and vanishing spec…

WB has seen it's share of liberal males.  They are pretty easy to spot.  They are the ones who wisely parrot what the liberal schools and media sagely tell us is so, and when you disagree and point out reality and facts, proceed to call you a bigot, a homophobe, an Islamophobe, a sexist, a…

What the sixties meant for me.

I was eleven when the sixties started and twenty one when they ended so the sixties were my formative years and boy what formative years they were. The 1940s were the war years - a time of death, tragedy, loss and destruction. Our cities were blasted to hell. Our economy was wrecked and we were in d…

The NFL Knee Controversy: Unpatrioticlike Conduct

About eight months ago, I wrote a piece concerning the kneeling during the national anthem at NFL games.  See:     Here are a few bullet points from that post:   ♦ Taking a knee during the national anthem is disrespectful to the nation and our veterans.  These actions…

Trump is absolutely incredible

I don't like demoncraps libtards. Thing is they are soooooooooooooo damn stupid and no matter what Trump does they try to spin it in a negative way, including the recent summit he had with Un. When I see some of those leftist comments sometimes shown on FOX I wanna reach in and really hurt them caus…

The List of Subversives

A former WB contributor has rejoined WB in a big way.   I remember Ryan Messano as a fairly opinionated right-wing Christian. He and I exchanged a few dialogues back then, and I deemed it a waste of my time for further discourse.   I sense that he has been taking some unhappy pills since h…

Objective Vs. Subjective

In ancient Athens, there was a large division caused by two differing schools of thought.  On one side was Socrates and his followers who asserted that there were absolute truths that could not be circumvented.  On the other were the Sophists like Protagoras, who asserted that man was the …

Jobs Up Despite Trump

Trump often whines about the mainstream press ignoring his economic accomplishments. He cites the current labor market as a shining example of his economic prowess.  Is their distaste for him clouding their perspective of his stewardship over the jobs economy?   On the surface, this sounds…

DEEP STATE: FAKE OR NOT ?

Ok, here we go. You all have probably heard of the Deep State, the NWO, the Illuminati. Some say it is fake, some say it's not.   Nobody really knows today.   But what we DO know is that since industrialization began, royalty has been replaced by business what concerns the…

Aren't you all a bit fed up with politics? With all the tribalism and lies? All the false promises and hypocrisy?   Aren't you pig sick with the way we are being governed?   So let's wipe the slate clean and go back to the beginning to decide what system you would ideally like to put in pl…

If Islam is the religion of peace, why are so many…

I repeatedly hear Muslims in the US claim Islam is the religion of peace, but fail to see them proving they are by being as or more peaceful people than people of other cultures.  When I hear that I often wonder who they are comparing themselves to, the Vikings?   From what I can see Middl…

Suicide Ain't Painless

Trump's Tariffs

I have taken an interest in US President Trump’s tariffs, first on solar panels and large washing machines, and now on steel and aluminum.  A tariff is defined as a tax or duty on a particular class of imports or exports. The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times are in a dither, and…

I realize that this article is not particularly timely but I've been busy at work.  I found a little time so I wanted to share some thoughts about this.   The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.  It was a very good game, as a football fan I t…

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH TRUMP

Ok. Read the title, Trump fans and tell me I'm an asshole. So you don't have to read further. Or just keep on reading.   A first note: I'm no fan, or never was of Clinton, quite the opposite. Because she was a warmonger (you saw the video where she laugĥed about the death of Gadhaf…

SOCCER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Sorry guys, no time for WB at the moment. The world soccer championships (we call it Football here) have just begun, and I guess it's understandable when we Europeans who like that sport (which, with the exception of the US, the whole world likes and supports) prefer to spend time on TV to s…

The Two Visions for America

America seems to be more divided these days than they have ever been since the days of the War Between the States. It is deemed as the War Between the States as that is what it was. Lincoln, very good at jailing any who dared to dissent, despite legal protection to the contrary, incorrectly labeled …

Social Security - The Private Option

One of the greatest problems that we face as a country in the US, is that too many people end their working life without assets they can use for their years after work. Another issue is that many people do not benefit from overall improvements in the economy. They have no stake in the game. And a t…

Today -- A More Gentle Planet

The world turns and glides more gentle today.    Most events on this planet, in a single day, do not have any noticeable effect -- singularly.  Perhaps one 24 hour period in a hundred years would set the trajectory of this globe on a new path which is more kind -- with a bit more…

Why I Write

Why I write   I need a dumptruck mama to unload my head   I think my passion for writing began at a very early age. In Primary School Friday afternoon was purely for writing. I think our teacher wanted to end the week on a bit of a skive. We wrote for the whole two hours and I loved it. It…
