In Portland the police are especially vicious with…

I have dual citizenship in the EU, have traveled the world near and far, and have spent the last year working in New York. I've seen plenty of police, and as far as I'm concerned I've never met any that held their city in such obvious disdain as our very own boys in blue. There are plenty more corrupt, maybe some that are more incompetent, but PPB HATES the citizens of Portland and takes a special joy in victimizing them. They're especially vicious with protesters. I've taken part in several marches/vigil in NY during my time there and they have been downright cordial compared to how we're treated here.   There used to be something called "home rule" which meant police had to live in their community. It ended sometime in the 80s(?), they all moved to Troutdale and Fairview and became a mercenary, occupying force. Not that they were g…

Ocasio-Cortez is unimaginably clueless

Ocasio-Cortez: “Today was the day a group of dedicated, everyday New Yorkers and their neighbors defeated Amazon’s corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world,” she tweeted, referring to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos."   This woman is u…

The Left's tax agenda is scary

The claim: The rich aren't paying their fair share.   If our tax burden is $100, and we have 10 people, it's fair that we all pay $10. That's your fair share.   Progressives have somehow confused someone paying $60, so 5 others don't have to pay anything is still the rich not paying their …

God Speaks to Us. Get Ready To Go Nuclear

When it comes to sharing life-changing spiritual experiences, Jesus tells us: "Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you." (Mt 7:6)   I know sharing one’s Christian experience prov…

WHY YOUR POSTS SUCK

It’s not that your articles and comments suck … oh wait, yes it is! And you know who I’m talking about. YOU are the one who does any of the following: You write about things you obviously are not all that familiar with as if you are. You apply contexts to things that have nothing t…

Green New Deal - Dissected

About this Post: This is a breakdown of the "Green New Deal"; as in stepping through the actual text of the resolution and explaining what it says in plain English.  So as I'm presenting this... plain text is what the Green New Deal resolution says... and I've added TexasLynn [commentary w…

Conservatives and their lack of empathy

It would be the death of freedom! I remember talking to a Conservative back around 1981 or 1982. She said it was important to have "the freedom to fail" so she opposed social welfare and equal opportunity programs. Well, that's fine if you come from a White, Middle Class background, especially if yo…

Panhandlers and the Homeless – Gas Them All

I can't say that I live in a good neighborhood. It's in an old part of town and has historically been populated by people with blue collars and red bank accounts. Gangs are resident here, and ruthlessly and viciously guard their turf. If I needed any further proof, I found it when I went to get a ha…

Confused Conservatives

Conservatives can't seem to make up their minds whether Scandinavians are socialist or not. Here they scream "European socialism!" But when people see that and like it and embrace the term socialist they say, "these young leftists don't even know what socialism is!" To be fair, they called …

California is not a progressive state

CA is not a progressive state. That's what the media wants people like you to believe and you fall for it. When a person is interested in the bigger or a whole truth, they take a look at the details.   An example being: The legalization of pot took three tries for it to become legal in CA. The …

I do appreciate that the intelligent reader classes both organic evolution and terrestrial motion as nonsense. I would, however, advise against prematurely condemning the Big Ben.
