Freemen or Slaves?

Tomorrow's election is the most monumental in American history.  It is a decision between whether the American citizens are naive and gullible enough to be tricked into voting against their own interests by voting for Hillary Clinton, or whether they are wise enough to support Donald Trump and freedom, being able to look past the smokescreen the media has put up to hide the truth from voters.

They say Hillary has a lot of experience.  She has a lot of experience accomplishing nothing.  She has thrown the entire Middle East into chaos.  Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iran, and Iraq are all in far worse positions in relation to the U.S. than they were before Hillary and Obama got into office.  We also are faced with a menacing Russia, and China, along with having to fight against Isis because Obama pulled troops out too fast.  She has a lot of experience taking money for favors.  She left the White House with zilch, and she is now worth $300,000,000 on a government salary.  How do you make so much money without producing anything of value?  You do it by selling out your country.

Hillary tells us we should vote for her because she is a woman.  I know many other women who are far more qualified than her to be President.  I know there are millions of African Americans more qualified to be President than Obama as well.  Why are people going to vote for a woman who is corrupt and is going to enslave us under taxes and regulations?  It's the same reason why blacks stayed slaves in 1850.  They were not allowed to read meaningful books, and today, the vast majority of Americans do not read at all of literature and know next to nothing about history.  Today's Americans amuse themselves to death, and are made slaves without them ever knowing.

What human in this nation would object to being able to keep their hard earned paychecks, and not be forced to pay for lazy do nothings, who insist on voting Democrat to keep the entitlements coming?  Not one who is thinking straight, that's for sure.  But we have millions who are swayed by the Democrats siren song of "Trumps a racist, bigoted, homophobic, islamophobic sexist", and "Hillary has experience and we need the first Woman President", and "We need to break the glass cieling".  Obama and Hillary did not choose their race and gender so why are they asking us to choose them because of factors they did not choose?

The choice is simple.  Either we vote to be freemen, or we vote to be slaves under Hillary.

I know not what course other men may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

Although we differ on the view of religion, I agree. Not on "freedom", since that does not exist in reality, as does not "democracy", but I agree that she hasn't achieved one positive thing regarding foreign policy. Quite the contrary, as you say.

It’s over the top rhetoric like this that is a turn-off to any undecideds out there.  Hillary doesn’t want to make us all slaves and Trump will not free us from government abuse.  Whether it be known misdeeds or known mistakes, Hillary is largely a known commodity.  She, like the Democratic Party will look to taxes and regulations to steer the economy and look the other way as her foreign policy.  He is very much an unknown.  We have no idea how he’ll govern seeing that he’s never governed before and has changed his positions on many matters many times.  Knowing all this, I’ll take the unknown over something that is known to be a bad in a number of different ways.

Very succinct post Joanna.  I voted for Gary Johnson but you make many valid points.  Trump is not known for much in act.  He has acted in support of eminent domain - which gives evidence to his lack of respect for private property rights.  So I can believe his "stop and frisk" attitude is likely how he will govern.  Sprinkle in his attitudes about trade (will he bring back tariffs?) and immigrants, and there is certainly cause to think he will bring back many protectionist ideas.  So we have SOME idea of how he will govern.
But all of Trump's warts are over-shadowed by the hawkish record of HRC, her connections to the Saudis and central banks, her rhetoric during the debates to try to enforce a no-fly zone over Syria.  HRC seems far more likely to push us into WWIII.  That concern rides over all others.

You don't have to agree on Alex and Infowars. But he's not talking bullshit. LIVE election.

We do agree, Stone.
Joanna, Hillary's policies will effectively make us slaves.  Of course, she will not advertise that, it's a matter of correctly interpreting her policies and looking to the past to see where those end up.  Nowhere good, that's where.

Trump's policies are far more friendly to individuals and will pare the government down considerably.  The Republican party platform is a far more liberating and freedom loving policy guide than the Democrat party platform is.  That is a fact.

I agree with your final sentence.  But at the end of the day, how can we not be slaves when there is one set of rules that governs us, and another set that governs her?  Where would you and I be, Joanna, if we were given a subpoena, and we went out with hammers and bleachbit and smashed laptops, and cellphones, and deleted 33,000 e-mails?

James, please remark on Islam's violent tendencies.   I'd like to hear you intelligently discuss why there have been 29,500 instances of Islamic terror around the world since 9/11?

I have posted reams on this subject on Facebook, et al, but it boils down to a simple proposition: Do you want to be self-governed in a representative government based on democratic principles or do you prefer to have power and decision-makeing centralized with government elites and eliminate the middle class?  If you select the former then vote Trump; else, vote Hillary.

Thanks. That's how the young in Europe see it too. The ones who aren't WWII influenced...

Excellent point, Bill.

I agree, Stone.  BTW, Fernando definitely is Marilyn.  Why would she retire Blunder Woman and come back on as a man?

I wonder if we have been dealing with a man all along?  Seeing he/she is for transgender rights, what  sex do you reckon it is?

Some people only have "guts" when appearing in hiding their real names. That's why I have no respect whatsoever for them. And when they tell me that Stone-Eater is a fake name - sure - they could only google "afronum". But they don't have so much imagination...

BTW: I don't care for her sex. She's a woman, but out of interest for me.

Bill I don't fully support your binary choice here: "I have posted reams on this subject on Facebook, et al, but it boils down to a simple proposition: Do you want to be self-governed in a representative government based on democratic principles or do you prefer to have power and decision-making centralized with government elites and eliminate the middle class?  If you select the former then vote Trump; else, vote Hillary."

Trump has shown some significant weaknesses with regard to liberty:
* He supports extensive use of eminent domain, which infringes upon private property rights.
* He supports stop and frisk, which is another major infringement.  I haven't seen how he feels about civil asset forfeiture, but if he supports warrantless search, I have to wonder if he believes in theft of goods by the police without due process.

Darrell Castle and Gary Johnson are both better choices for expanding of liberties and limiting the centralization of power.

I'm in New York where Hillary is miles ahead of Trump.  We're a "dark blue" state.  People should consider Castle or Johnson here.
Walter Block had a good debate with Nick Gillespie about this issue.  Walter suggests that Libertarians vote for Trump in the "purple" swing states, and Gary Johnson elsewhere.

Your vote was wasted, Rich.

If Hillary is elected, you will learn why you should have voted Trump.

If Trump is elected, you need to thank you lucky stars there were real patriots who did what you should have done.

The tax code has enough loopholes today that most humans pay nothing by way of income taxes.  After all, 47% of all tax returns owe nothing by way of taxes.  Most of the rest of tax returns owe less than 20% of their income to the Government.  In other words, most people get to keep their hard earned paycheck, which means most don’t pay for lazy do nothings.  So your question is based on a falsehood.
Ryan Messano Added Nov 9, 2016 - 12:52am
Not really.

The middle class gets 20-30% taken out of their paychecks before they see a dime.

What percent is taken out of your paycheck?

Please don't tell me it's below 20% because I won't believe you.  If you own your own business, you might do better.
