Regressive Privilege

My Recent Posts

"White people, you are fucking racist, privileged pigs."

The left cannot control themselves in laying charges against skin color without any substantial evidence. This word "privileged", used by the left is intellectual suicide for progressives.

I could say, today, that I am guilty of "privilege", state out loud and to everyone I know that I relinquish my "privilege" and never want to be associated with "privilege" again.
And you know what? Not a gawdamn thing would change for me other than people, progressives included, would think I am fuking crazy. And for 100% of white people, nothing would change as well.

You know what will change by these accusations of privilege? You have empowered all those non-whites, who drank the cool-aid, to stand up and say, "YES! I am a victim of those assholes".
The most troubling part of these accusations is not that I feel defensive about it. Why should I?  I know of no person or group that is getting me jobs or giving me cash.

The real harm in these accusations is in creating more victimization empowerment. Once people think they are victims, they stop looking inward for solutions and keep looking external as if their problems are created by someone else.
This lack of introspection by the left is one big reason Trump won. All those weeping victims out there because now they believe "privilege" has won for the next 4 years.

You are the problem, Progressive. It isn't skin color. Just exactly who or what is privileging the whites? What is this power you speak? Is it DNA? Is it some Force from a Star Wars film?  Time to be specific.

And just who or what is stepping on the neck of colored folk? Believe me, let's find that person or group and let's fix it. I'm all for that. But you know what? You can't identify that person or group. Because it doesn't exist. You are merely spouting spurious claims that are damaging the people that need a message of empowerment . . . not defeatism. You are not hurting white folk at all with your accusations.

However, you are keeping the colored folk just where you want them . . . mentally as victims and mentally defeated. You are the problem Progressive.  You are the racist.  You are the ones keeping your foot on the necks of non-whites.

And the Great Regressive Plantation keeps its voters and its followers just where they want them.  They have created a special kind of privilege for anyone non-white . . . a regressive privilege.

Totally right Slade.  I have faith that humans (any skin tone) will one day wake up to this enormous fraud of social bracketing and guilt labeling.
I think it is happening as we speak.  Hurrah!

The lengths Progressives will go for power NEVER ceases to amaze me. Things like this and others truly show that Liberlism is a mental disorder.

Certainly there are people of privilege, and most of the time these people are white but not always.  Our current President was privileged by virtue of going to Harvard.  It is unlikely he would be President otherwise.

I am white and not privileged, and neither are most white people.   Saying all whites are privileged is like saying since all people over 6'5 are human, all humans are over 6'5.
Mark Klaers Added Dec 22, 2016 - 10:54am
I often say I identify as black because I have truly lived the liberal myth of what all black people go through in the racist-intrinsic white society that is America. Hell, I’ve had African-Americans that know me say I’m “blacker” than anyone they know because of what I’ve overcome.

William,

Yup.  I agree.  The left has been shameless lately, in their smear campaigns.  They have no integrity in defeat.  Bill Clinton and his wife have no integrity.

I wrote on a similar angle to this topic too, William.  This "privilege" bologna is really stinging some White nerves in people.  I do not see the wisdom in this rhetoric, if they want a good U.S..  It makes me question the motives of the leftist elites.

It's been made up to justify a declining standard of living. As the flawed logic goes if you are white & have been dumped into a new economic reality from neoliberal policies somehow you just need to get over it. Since you were supposedly privileged now you are not and have to join the ranks of the have nots.
wsucram15 Added Dec 22, 2016 - 4:47pm
I just heard this argument today in a discussion today between both progressives and conservatives, and then different cultural backgrounds.
In my time protesting, I spoke to a few people that made some interesting points to me about "white privilege".  Now I am not talking about poverty but I could.
I am talking about middle or upper class class people, who are made to feel that they have done something wrong due to their race.
Examples would be; being pulled over because of the color of your skin (either way depending on the neighborhood), or the assumption you got a good job because of affirmative action.  Another example is education and literature..there is black education month or a "unit" on Islam and the ME.  Why are these cultures not taught more openly , especially black history because is is a large part of American History. Who said Chaucer is better than Alice Walker, Toni Morrison(both Nobel and Pulitzer prize winning),Richard Wright or Audre Lorde?  How many of their novels are taught in schools to children? Why are only certain authors valuable and others are not, primarily those with a cultural bias.
Here is a true story, I got pulled over by a police officer..I have talked about this often on here.  I did nothing wrong. I was harassed and searched. Nothing came of it, the officer explained that I was on the wrong side of town at night and it was suspicious for a white person, he felt I might be trying to obtain drugs.
When I went to work the following day, I was complaining about this and a guy I knew at work looked at me and told me" you have no idea about these things do you, being white, you dont have to worry about such things."   This was years ago.  But I understood him, we talked later and he explained what it was like for a Hispanic man, even with a job.
I have seen and heard enough to know that there is a social prejudice that occurs. Whether is is something so trivial as the color of "skin colored" band-aids or the complimentary shampoos at hotels. Try to find African American hair care products in the hair care aisle at the grocery store, especially in travel size.
White privilege is a hidden and transparent preference that is often difficult to address. But it does exist even in the most subtle ways to the most extreme ways, such as being labeled as a terrorist or monitored in a store for your clothes (unlike white people wearing same clothing style) or the darkness of your skin.
White privilege means you never have to explain why cultural appropriation is a bad thing. Oh yes, and you will never be told, "to get over slavery".
Direct quote from a A.A. male "white privilege permits you to be oblivious to your privilege and become irrationally upset when someone calls you out on it. No one is saying all white people are bad. You don't have to be racially prejudiced to benefit from white privilege. I don't think women are inferior, however I still benefit from male privilege."
JK
Billy Roper Added Dec 22, 2016 - 6:24pm
I'm sure all of the Whites passed over for job promotions or jobs themselves or college positions for third world nonWhites whom this nation was not created for are really touched by that. Try going to Israel and whining about Jewish privilege, or to China and whining about Chinese privilege. NonWhites using a written alphabet is cultural appropriation.

There are several double standards for Whites and Blacks, but which group benefits the most from the “invisible thumb on the scale?” The NAACP is celebrated, but any attempt to start a viable NaaWhiteP is attacked as racist.

Black Privilege demands that Black rappers who sing the dirtiest, foulest words about women and killing police officers are celebrated as “artists.”

Black Privilege allows for the grossly disproportionate use of taxpayer funds to support Black families which are multiple-generation welfare recipients. Questions about how this condition can continue are met with references to the plurality of those on welfare being White because Black Privilege demands it. Blacks who make up just 12% of our population suck up 25% of welfare funds, but this is never mentioned because Black Privilege demands it.

Black Privilege allows Blacks to whine that there should be more Black managers in sports–without mentioning the comparative scarcity of White players in the NBA and NFL. These leagues are meritocracies as they should be, but Black Privilege is never mentioned when the demographics of our 26% Black Postal System workforce is pointed out.

There are effects of the past but the best way to move forward is each individual and family rolling with the punches of life the best they can. No one is responsible for anyone else's life or mistakes.

The best advice is probably don't be a jerk. Everyone, don't be a jerk.

And all keep in mind that black people don't get to search out their ancestors on ancestry.com and feel proud of their 2 times great grandfather who willingly came on a ship with the shirt on his back and made a success of their life. (Since ancestry.com primarily relies on the ship's logs of passenger ships.)

Black people aren't "built" for the North American climate. Their hair is much different than white's (which results in black women paying huge money ultimately to make the hair on their head more resemble a white person). Their skin is drier, built for a hotter climate, in North America its gets, as they say, ashy.

I lived in a very hot climate for a few years in the Caribbean and it feels strange when it dawns on you that you weren't built for the climate you're living in (in the very hot sun, white people burn up in an hour or two of direct sunlight, get skin cancer over time, etc...).

The list goes on. We're all different. God made us all. We're all beautiful but the past influences the present.

M. Mr. Stockton: Do you think your life experiences would have been totally different if your skin color could not pass for White?
William Stockton Added Jan 23, 2017 - 9:03pm
Benita, your question is the very reason why evaluating success or failure based solely on skin color is misrepresenting reality.

The reality is that if I was born to a black mother I would be 90% more likely to never know my father.
The reality is that if I was born to a black mother I would be 500% more likely to be raised in the inner-cities.
The reality is that if I was born to a black mother, my work eithic would have been completely different because I would be told a very damaging message . . . over and over.  That message would be that I can never succeed because the white people are stepping on my neck.  So I would never try . . . I would never keep trying even though I failed.   I would be doomed to accept failure and a life less than mediocre.

That is why my life would be different.  And it ultimately has nothing to do with skin color but has everything to do with expectations, failure messages, and association with a community that accepts failure, poverty, and crime as part of THIER American dream.

But that wasn't the dream that MLK had in mind.  He was trying to get the black community to stop accepting failure and start embracing a positive message through empowerment.  At the time, yes, there were negative messages coming from outside the black community.  But that has changed.
Unfortunately, the black community has turned this empowerment message into a black power message.  One that seeks to destroy "white America" to ensure they stand on the top of the rubble intact with their same negative messages . . . intact and unchanged.

Black power messages aren't working.  People need to change the way they think and what values they hold.  And I truly believe that these values and cultures allow both whites and Asian people to succeed.  They don't have the same internal negative messages that keep their intra-cultures down.
William Stockton Added Jan 23, 2017 - 9:12pm
. . . and these positive and negative messages to kids are not dependent on skin color.
Benita Blocker Added Jan 23, 2017 - 9:45pm
Mr. Stockton: Oh my, I did not realize how confused you really are. You don't know my background, but I am Black, and your description of the being Black is absolutely ignorant. It is so ignorant that I am going to abandon trying to educate you because you are the type that knows so much that you can not  be taught. Good day.
William Stockton Added Jan 23, 2017 - 10:07pm
Ok.  Fair enough Benita.  Not sure why you think I am unable to be re-educated in truth.

Maybe you can answer this Benita.  Why is it that a black community thinks it is acceptable to call themselves the "N" word?  Could it be that that same culture would think so less of themselves that they would think this to be intraculturally acceptable?  Am I wrong?

Again, I am offering a solution to a culture that is completely destroying itself.  I see nobody else, including you, offering solutions other than blaming other people . . . like you blaming me for being ignorant.

The way I see it, strong words I know, is that the black community is so much more racists against itself that the downward spiral is nearly unstoppable.   And we had a black president who did nothing to change this problem.  Really?  You chastise me for offering a solution.

I have black friends furious at Obama.  I have had many discussions with them on this topic.
So, I am not completely ignorant.

He throws numbers around to prove his point, but provides nothing in the way of cites for it, like: The reality is that if I was born to a black mother I would be 90% more likely to never know my father.
The reality is that if I was born to a black mother I would be 500% more likely to be raised - What's your source other than your "Fantasy Island" newsfeed, Billy?
Benita Blocker Added Jan 23, 2017 - 10:29pm
Mr. Stockton: I don't reside in a Black community neither was I raised in an all Black community so I am not used to hearing the "N" word. However, the term "negro" is an formal name for the color "black" in other countries. If a deviation of "negro" is being used then one needs to listen to the inflection of the voice. People sometimes say "fool," "s.o.b." and other derogatory terms as terms of endearment versus taking the term literally.

As far as Blacks destroying each other, maybe they are mimicking the White supremacism that stole land from the Native Americans, that enslaved Blacks like animals for a hundred years, that have reckless regard for the oppressed. White masters had no problem mating with Black females. Maybe the savageness of Blacks are a reflection of the barbaric nature of the White man.
William Stockton Added Jan 23, 2017 - 10:36pm
If you don't believe any of my quoted statistics, how about from CNN's own Don Lemon?
White kids, in contrast, are likely to be fatherless 20% of the time.
The reality is that if I were born to a black mother I would be 300% more likely to be raised by a single mother.

I WAS raised by a single mother and I WAS dirt poor.  I know how damaging to a kids future is a single parent home.

But you know what is more damaging to kids?  Telling them they can't succeed because society won't let them succeed.  These messages should be forms of child abuse.  And that is what I would like fixed for the black community.  Not because I am white.  Not because I love black people . . . it is because these kids SHOULD have a future like I had.
William Stockton Added Jan 23, 2017 - 10:44pm
Oh please Benita.  Calling someone a "niggah" is worlds apart from calling someone an "idiot" or "negro".  LOL  I cant believe you just wrote that.  That "N" word means a person is less than human.  You know the meaning and I know it.  Stop with the excuses.

"As far as Blacks destroying each other, maybe they are mimicking the White supremacism that stole land from the Native Americans, that enslaved Blacks like animals for a hundred years, that have reckless regard for the oppressed."

How about the black community just rise above the bullshit and start to find real solutions that don't destroy themselves and everyone else in the process?  Isn't that a good plan?

William, this is pretty good.  I will be the first to admit my life has probably been somewhat easier because I was born "white".  That doesn't mean my life has been easy.

I think the thinly veiled agenda here is some kind of payback expected.  Which is frankly crap.  If we are going to talk about payback, I want reparations for the way my Irish ancestors were stolen from their homeland and forced to exist as slaves in North America.  And how some of them were killed in cold blood when they had the nerve to strike for safe working conditions in mines and factories.

I also want payback for the four years I spent in the military, subject to the whims of whoever was in DC at the moment.

I want payback for not growing up with a father to learn all the basic manhood stuff from.  I am a victim and want my fair share!!!

Ok, I know all of this was silly and won't happen.  And that is the point.  If we keep beating each other up about the past, we are NEVER going to move forward.

Jackie Robinson never asked for any kind of special favors.  Just the chance to compete equally.  Martin Luther King JR didn't advocate any special treatment, just everyone treating each other as equal human beings.  General Colin Powell didn't become the highest ranking member of the military, then a trusted advisor to the President, by begging for payback.  He just did a damn good job of being a soldier.

I will never understand why people think they are entitled to ANYTHING in this world.  Life is tough, get a helmet.  And don't steal someone else's helmet either.

How is it possible for immigrants from India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Korea, Eastern Europe to come to America with virtually no money, barely speaking English, little formal education can become successful small businessmen and tradesmen in a few years and their kids become the top students in our public schools and universities . . . while many "indigenous" people born in the US with NONE of the handicaps the immigrants had still can't figure out how to be prosperous in America?
