Inept Swiss.

My Recent Posts

We had an old Swiss guy, a little older than Stone, try to kill himself today. Nobody knows how old he really is because he had no friends, a trait common to Swiss people who are very stoic. He was in bad shape physically due to drug use and excessive alcohol consumption. He needed a cane to walk because he did not walk when he was able. Self indulgence can be a trap when you don't counter balance with good diet and exercise.

We don't know the details, and the Thai lady spy ring keeps calling my lady to find out the story. On our way to the Bar this morning two Taxi Drivers and four hotel workers, and a 4 year old, all gave up what they know.

The 4 year old, Maya, said "Man fall down. Break roof, go hospital."

The consensus is that he ran out of money, and rather than go back to Switzerland, he decided to kill himself. So at 6:00am Pattaya time, he jumped off his fourth floor balcony.

He landed on top of an awning that was anchored to the building. This broke his fall, and acted as a slide to the ground. He broke both of his legs. This poor drunken delusional fool, only added to his troubles, because he will be bed ridden for at least 8 months, he has no money to hire someone to take care of him, and no friends to help him.

I don't know if the Swiss government will help, but how inept can you be, to screw up killing yourself? He could have taken the lift to the roof 16 floors up and done a proper job, by jumping from there!

That is why I see things differently than most / all people on WB! Because I am faced with life as it is every day!

My ladies father just went to a funeral for a younger cousin who was jumped by a gang of YA BA (Amphetamine) crazed teenagers who mistook him and his 7 month pregnant wife for rival gang members. They stabbed her 7 times, and stomped his head to  mulch. He died in the hospital with his head swollen 3 times normal size. 6 of the teens are in the Monkey House (Jail) waiting trial for murder.

I am surrounded by life in the raw, and Internet Bullshit is only a pile of Pixels talking fantasy. How can I get excited about one POP insulting another POP, when I have real people dying regularly.

Writer Beat used to be my window on the common people of America. Now it is polluted by rancorous morons who want to out do the other guy, and DESTROY him.

How can I be sad that this Cesspool is being drained?

You can't you won't and you shouldn't. Writer Beat is not the end all or bee all. It is only a veiled and seemingly now failed outlet for people to hide behind a screen and project their miniscule life dramas prejudices and bigotry upon others. They talk about how ridiculous safe zones are. This was their safe zone and their sanctuary city. But the sharks attacked until they only prey was themselves. Autumn realized this and recognizing reality shut down their pacifier.
THE END.

Well said Ric. Those who destroyed this site, now whine and beg to save it!
I don't need it as I live a full rich life, but it was my window on the average American. It balanced the lying news media for me. But then it became the lying Pile Of Pixels.
Issues gave way to Group slander, until there was no choice but to name call and slander in return.
We all know what choice was made!

By the way, the old man is recovering, but not WB.

EXPAT, that is indeed reality. Shoot, you had me picturing the scenes you described. I wouldn't laugh at a guy screwing up his suicide attempt, but yeah, he could've gone to the top floor... I understand the Thai government takes a dim view of drugs and drug addicts. The little I know tells me those guys have prospects of either life in jail, sponsored by their families who have to feed them because the prison won't, or the death penalty. Am I right?

The Thai Army, who are in charge now of all drug raids are seizing tons of Pills coming from Malaysia and  Cambodia. Cambodia police have arrested over 5,000 drug dealers, and yet the streets are full of cheap drugs. Many dealers are shot in the street, and the crack down is being compared to Philippines Duterte murder spree. I can's say for sure because News outlets here are heavily censored. They don't want to scare the Tourists away.
Ya Ba a type of Amphetamine and Ya Ice Crystal Meth are the drugs of choice.  Can sa (Marijuana) is still common and pretty much ignored unless the user is an idiot and does it in public. In Cambodia it is legal.

Yes they have some tough Rehab. camps, but they are overwhelmed and the average stay is only 1-2 weeks. Thai jails provide a very basic diet for Remand Prisoners those who haven't been sentenced yet. That can take over a year. I don't know about Penitentiaries. Expat users are expelled and not allowed to return. Dealers are treated the same as Thai. Two Australian Bikers who murdered a third dealer, were sentenced to death a couple of weeks ago!

I just found out that the old fool had a woman staying with him who bought all the drugs. And ran off with all his money, electronics and jewelry. Se la Gere.

P.S. Mircea.  You may have been thinking of Muslim jails. It is considered a good deed to feed prisoners. So the Jails leave it up to friends or relatives.
When I was in Saudi, we all carried what we called Get out of Jail free cards.
It was a card with our name and supervisors name and home and work phones. Anybody getting out would collect all the new guys cards and turn them into ARAMCO. Sometimes the Saudi's would misspell or misprint a name and you could get lost in the system.

I can imagine why he did it. One doesn't go back to prison free will. Switzetland is despite it's proper image and piece a mental prison.

Peace...sorry.

Why is that Stone? Is it social pressure to conform? Or do Swiss avoid confrontation at the cost of individuality?  Is it the school system?
Last year we had another Swiss guy in his 40's do a proper job jumping from the 8th. floor because his company sent him notice, he no longer had a job! He worked for a computer company that let their employees work wherever they chose.
The freedom of Thailand is hard for many people to handle. I see them get tattoos on their face, spray paint their hair, wear costumes, walk around Naked, drink themselves to death, rent motorcycles and crash at high speed.
We had a Brit. who wore a gold suit and hat, who decorated his bicycle with shiny gold streamers and Thai and British flags. He could be seen all over town sitting erect and grinning. He never spoke or waived, or stopped. Just peddlin' and Grinnin'.

Thanks for the answer, EXPAT. It pays to have eyes on the ground. The little I know of Thai prisons comes from a few articles and one or two documentaries about South Africans who did time there for drug offences, hardly sufficient to form an opinion.
