Two similar incidents happened in South Africa. The first was a black guy who was part of the #FeesMustFall movement at Oxford university, he wrote on the slip that he refused to tip whites and they must return land to black people. The waitress burst into tears as she was from a poor background, owned no land and took none from anybody, then it made the news... The second happened late last year, when another waiter had written on the table description "2 blacks". That didn't go down so well either and there was another brouhaha. One of the customers concerned appealed to the restaurant owner to let the waiter keep the job and it all died down quickly. People can be stupid sometimes, but it apparently hasn't penetrated their skulls there are a lot of smart phones around and global infamy is just a camera click and FB post away. Nice one, Michael.

Mircea, for the most part, a lot of these stunts are pulled by teenagers and/or people who are probably being treated like shit by their bosses, but some people simply enjoy being assholes. It could always be worse; for example, several months ago in a town near me, some dickhead was arrested for putting boogers in burgers at a McDonald's...he did it while in full view of the cops who had placed the order, who were, not surprisingly, the same ones who arrested him. Also, a woman at a local barbecue joint didn't like her food for some reason and took it back; the cook threw the platter at the woman and screamed for her to get out, and wound up being arrested for assault.
