Another step towards balkanization: CA Senate passes “Sanctuary State” bill.

My Recent Posts

In another sign that it is moving closer to secession or at least conquest by anti-White, pro-Reconquista political forces, the California State Senate has passed a bill moving forward making the entire state a sanctuary for illegal immigrants:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California lawmakers gave initial approval Monday to a measure that prevents law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration officials, a measure that proponents said rebukes President Donald Trump for his immigration crackdown.

It makes California a statewide sanctuary for many people who are in the country illegally.

The state Senate passed the measure on a 27-12 vote, sending it to the state Assembly over the objection of opponents who said it endangers the public by shielding felons from being deported.

The bill, SB54, advanced after Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon, a Democrat from Los Angeles, amended it to let state and local law enforcement notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement federal agents before convicted serious or violent felons are released from custody.

De Leon also stripped the bill of a provision that would have required a two-thirds vote. Passing the measure with a simple majority means it wouldn’t take effect until Jan. 1, while the previous version would have taken effect immediately.

“We will cooperate with our friends at the federal level with serious and violent felons. But we won’t cooperate or lift a finger or spend a single cent when we’re talking about separating children from their mothers, mothers from their children,” de Leon said. “That’s not who we are as a great state.”

(snip)

The American Civil Liberties Union, the National Day Laborer Organizing Network and other supporters said the bill would give California some of the nation’s strongest anti-deportation protections.

Lawmakers in the nation’s most populous state also advanced two other bills that attempt to impede the president’s immigration policies. They sent the Assembly a bill, SB6, that would provide $12 million to pay lawyers for immigrants facing deportation, and another measure, SB31, that would bar state officials from sharing data if the federal government creates a Muslim registry.

California is home to an estimated 2.3 million immigrants who do not have legal authorization. San Francisco, which is among cities with its own sanctuary law, is suing over Trump’s executive order.

The statewide sanctuary bill, SB54, would bar police and sheriffs from arresting or detaining people just for immigration violations unless a judge issues a warrant…

State and local law enforcement agencies would not be able to help investigate immigration violations or inquire about someone’s immigration status.

The measure also seeks to limit immigration enforcement activities in schools, courthouses and other public facilities.

“If we don’t control our borders, we cease to be a nation,” objected Sen. Ted Gaines, a Republican from El Dorado Hills. “We cannot become a beacon of lawlessness.”…

Even some Democrats said they are concerned the bill still bars state and local officials from turning over criminals convicted of certain sexual or violent crimes. But they supported the measure as it moved forward.

“Overwhelmingly this bill is about people who are just trying to live their lives. People who are living in fear right now,” said Sen. Scott (((Wiener))), a Democrat from San Francisco.

Supporters of the bill want to prohibit state or local police from being deputized to help find those in the country illegally. They say police cooperation with immigration authorities can increase crime and harm victims by making victims or witnesses fearful of reporting crimes for fear they will be deported.

“This is an acknowledgement of the cultural and economic contributions made to our great state by immigrants from all over the world,” de Leon said outside the Senate chamber after the vote. “And it is a rejection of President Trump’s false and cynical portrayal of undocumented immigrants as a lawless community.”

There was no immediate response from the White House.

Whatever it takes for the utter destruction of the neo-con warmongering terrorist regime that has usurped power in Washington is a very good thing.

This sounds like a great opportunity to solve the deportation backlog in our courts.
Buy all the unwanted immigrants a bus ticket to California!
It doesn't require judicial approval to move detainee's to another state, when they agree to go!
Ice can provide Multi Lingual booklets on all the social benefits available, and Welfare applications so they can collect as soon as they step off the bus.
Instead of trying to get the Granola State(full of fruits, nuts, and flakes) to cooperate, turn their defiance into an advantage for the rest of the country.

This is what Castro did to Jimmy Carter, when accused of persecuting political prisoners, he opened the asylum and prison doors to anyone who wanted to go to America.

Why not? There are already two and a half million illegal immigrants in California, and they want more, so we can send them the other eighteen million, then just seal the border. Give them what they say they want. ;p

Build the wall along the AZ, NV and OR borders!

Great idea Expat,
Make California the official waiting area for all immigration hearings and those applying for refugee status.  When illegals are found in other States, just hand them a bus ticket to California and tell them that is where they must stay till their hearing or they get immediate deportation if they are busted again outside of California, lol.

They want illegals, let's let them have all of them.

Yeah, here's my commentary and a new article called 'Secession is all about perception'.

Sanctuary should not be given to serious criminals, other undocumented immigrants ought to pay a penalty and become legal residents!  It would be much better for our country and economy!

Dino, that's almost an exact copy and paste of your comment on another thread. Are you sure that you're not a bot? The penalty that illegal immigrants should pay is the cost of their busfare home, but we can make that up by harvesting their extra organs before we let them go.

It looks like Hispanics aren't the only ones looking to have their own ethnostate, here or elsewhere:

Black mass exodus?

That's some funny shit.

That would probably be a fine idea, actually.   Let their culture flourish in a state of their own.  Let our culture flourish in a state of our own.

Flourish. Like Zimbabwe and S. Africa. Liberia is another good example. Yeah.
Bill Kamps Added Apr 11, 2017 - 12:18pm
Flourish, funny word in this context.

I saw where Rahm is coming up with ID's for illegal immigrants so they can comply with local laws, and stay in Chicago.

The politicians should be put in jail for subverting Federal immigration laws, then maybe they will stop this nonsense.  Short of that yes, send all the illegals to California, and lets see how those voters like the result of what their politicians are doing.

I agree with Bill. Authorities who openly and deliberately flout the law, refusing to enforce violations of federal law, and encourage the disregard for federal law should be charged with violating the law, or at minimum dereliction of duty. Mr. Trump has a lot of power, being president. The easiest thing, and what he has mentioned that he would do would be to cut off federal funds. Without federal money, these cities and states would be in bad financial shape quite quickly. Money talks and B.S. walks.

Jeff, the trend is that as more and more regions become majority Hispanic due to immigration (legal and illegal) and their higher birth rates and White flight out of those areas, they will become sanctuary cities and sanctuary states, not enforcing federal immigration laws. That's one thing fueling the balkanization of America. Do you think the federal government has the will to stop it?

Tom,

If it comes to it, the Reconquista movement and the #CalExit and #BluExit push have a lot of overlap:

There's also a growing secessionist movement in Appalachia, reflecting their anti-establishment, anti-(((Cosmopolitan))) worldview:
