Happy Easter....the Good News!

What a great article written by Patrick Writes.  The Messiah has come and was crucified by the religious heretics of the day. The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus was raised from the dead; remained on this earth for 40 days and was seen by over 500 believers  before he ascended to heaven.  He had promised His followers that He would send the Holy Spirit and after 10 days He did.  The day of Pentecost.  And his disciples from that day forth, went to work teaching the Gospel.  When Peter first spoke, over 3,000 believed.  We serve a risen Saviour who will return as He has promised.  Gods laws were fulfilled by His Son Jesus so that we sinners who believe may have life eternal.  Hallelujah!  All Glory belongs to the Lord.  Praise Him!

Not apologizing for saying "On the third day, the Easter Bunny arose from the Hallmark store to lead us to retail salvation..."

Happy Easter!  The Greek Orthodox say Christos Anesti, meaning Christ has risen, and others reply Alithos Anesti, meaning Truly He Has Risen!

This was  a lovely stroy, but  believing it  to be true some two thousand  years later, without proof, seems suspect, almost though you have lost the ability to think. Thinking begins when one doubts what is put in front of one as a given. The cruelty one sees in the world, nothing done about it , confirms that there is no benovelent superbeing looking down on us. One wonders why he buggered off leaving us to our fate, if 'he'/'it' coud have done differently. Why have free will,  then torture after one chooses.  It seems that those who grow  up from beliefs see the falsity even more than I do. Observation and measurment has resaonably explained the world we see around us,  without superbeings  having to intervene  to make it all go. The awsome fact that we are alone gives meaning enough.

Martin, there is much proof, and evidence as well.  Please consider obtaining a Bible and start reading in Genesis Chapter 1.  You will be forever thankful that you did.
