So long For Long.

My Recent Posts

While waking up earlier today; I have heard about the shooting that have taken place where 3 Congressmen and 2 Policemen were shot by a lone gunman. He is dead and the other 5 men are expected to make a recovery. My thoughts and prayers go out to the 5 men who were shot. My point to this post is that this will be my final Writer Beat article here for awhile indefinitely. No I am not quitting because I have faced Trump Supporters and ignorant people alike online here and on other sites who prefer to believe the lies of the 45th President Donald J. Trump who is a liar and will not keep his word.

I will not waste my time reposting what I have said; What I have said is the truth. I believe that things are about to happen in America that will wake up White America and people of color who are Trump Supporters will see that Trump only cares about RICH PEOPLE and you aren't a part of his club. The jobs he has promised during the election last year that was lost in  2008 AREN'T COMING BACK! Stop reliving the past and focus on the future! It is harsh but the truth.

Bullying people who are critical of Trump will not make our problems go away. Condoning Bullying makes you look foolish. Sooner or later, Reality will kick in the hard way. That is a lesson that America, especially White Americans who are Trump supporters will learn because Trump has no vision for America. Say what you will about Barak Obama, at least he had a vision. I don't want to hear your excuses. You have yourselves to blame because you criticized that man because of the COLOR OF HIS SKIN period! You have hurt America in the long run by standing by people like the Freedom Caucus (Tea Party), The Alt Right, and Trump himself!

Anti Trump people aren't going away at all; We will endure.  This is America, not Russia, China, North Korea, or Iran. We as a nation are acting like them because you believe a known liar like Donald Trump. Isolating ourselves from other nations and the world makes America weak, not "great again". Do you want to relive a period in America that People of Color, Women, Non-Christians were considered invisible and only White People dominated? Not me!! I prefer moving forward, not backwards. That mentality shared by Trump will truly hurt our nation, not make it better. It proves America's enemies correct because we as a nation have refused to deal with our nation's original sin which is Racism.

For now, this is my final Writer Beat post. I will occasionally comment on the site and will decided when to comment. I will stay in touch via comments by the posts of my fellow Writer Beaters. Until then, be safe and be blessed.

It is rhetoric such as yours that causes people to do such things.  Words have consequences.  I don't blame you for wanting to hide from the fruits of your words.

I disagree Leroy; What I am saying is true. You are going to learn the hard way when Trump betrays you. He isn't a promise keeper; His reputation speaks for himself. This man cares about. NO ONE but himself! Trump has given nothing but a pipe dream.

“You have yourselves to blame because you criticized that man because of the COLOR OF HIS SKIN period!”
Let’s explore that accusation.  Of all the terrible things Obummer did, the worst in my humble opinion was releasing a marine deserter (Bergdahl) for five known terrorists.  Are you saying my criticism of that decision is because I’m a racist?
I didn’t follow, why are you quitting this site?

Sad to see you stop discussing subjects on WB.  As you have noticed that I quote mostly, "black authors or public officials or academics."   I am trying to remove the race issue that you tend to heighten.   These people present factual data that can be found in may places.
I know it is hard to accept that the people you respected for decades and that your community respected also are involved in creating the Black Ghetto.  FDR's housing policy passed by a Democratic Congress.  A black author and LBJ's director of the housing department wrote a book of that title in 1948.  He ended the housing policy.  Thus at least two decades passed and most of the 60's before it ended the creation of Ghettos,  but no one as found a way to remove them, and the system still promotes their existence.
FDR's helped provide relief for the black workers that were the first to be let go.  This was a good policy including Aid to Dependent Children.   And it resulted in the Black vote flipping to the Democratic party.  Local agents that administered welfare discriminated against blacks in the south.  This actually preserved the family structure and religious foundation in the south so that the civil right movement had a wealth of citizens.  LBJ put the federal government in charge of welfare.  The economic professors and doctors, black, have research the effect of the welfare programs.  The regulations and administration as the point out were more destructive then slavery or Jim Crow.
George you do not what to accept these facts also.   The explosion in single parent families is directly attached to welfare, and we need to also attach the high rate of abortions in the ghetto black community to these welfare polices.   Such an twisted approach to correct the resulting high unmarried pregnancies.
George I am sure you know the name Eldridge Cleaver after he obtain permission to return to American knowing he would face court action said, "I was wrong and the Black Panthers were wrong... We [black Americans] are inside the system and I feel that the number of objective for Black American is to recognize that they have the same equal rights under the Constitution as Ford or Rockefeller, even if we have no blue-chip stocks.  But our membership in the United States is the supreme blue-chip stock and the one we have to exercise." ref; Laile Bartlett, "The Education of Eldridge Cleaver," Reader's Digest, 9/1976 p 65-72

Gregory..if you have been out there like I have the "liberal" PEOPLE are not causing the rhetoric.  They are defending their rights...however, like the right..some do get carried away in their nonsense.  The man who shot these people is not a liberal, he lost his mind with hatred perhaps stirred up like some of the people on here.
I wish you well  stop by now and again.

When reason fails some people resort to playing the Race Card.  Some white people don't like black people.  Some black people don't like white people.  Some of us get along fine regardless.  When you try and pigeonhole the beliefs, prejudice and behaviors as common to everyone in a group, you just hurt yourself.

Trump makes too many promises, but he's generally a good person, he wants to make America great and we should help him.  Democrats are desperate; divisive; sour grapes and making matters worse.  It's time to come together for America!
wsucram15 Added Jun 15, 2017 - 2:35pm
Mike..fair enough but stop hating Dems, they are also entitled to an opinion.
Dino...Im not sure Dems are desperate, stop watching the news.  But I guess perhaps its your perspective. Either way..stop the blame game.

George, we have a choice,  a real discussion or a real gun.  The actions of the rioters or those that stopped Ann Coulter from speaking, or Kathy Giffin's ISIS severed head of Trump or the shooter of the GOP base ball team.  Real discussion is not the emotionalism presented by Democrats, rioters, Sharptin, etc.  Emotionalism is not a substituted for an argument.  It is the calling card for Sharptin, Obama, Pelosi, Shumer.  Emotionalism is the way Democrats do politics.  They look for and use emotional levers.  But emotionalism and only emotionalism is not having a discussion.
I hope you choose real discussions.  You and I need to practice at discussion at respectful disagreement and respectfully presenting an argument that is real.  Has real facts has words from real people that are know for honor and honesty that have and will back up their words.
Is President Donald Trump or is President Barack Obama capable of backing up their words?    The scandals during the Obama administration that continue today suggest no for him.  Trump and I though out the spin of the media is showing weakness also.

What was Obama's vision again?
To me the guy was out of his element from day 1 and simply made pretty speeches and played golf. Passing the stimulus bill was good and staying out of Syria was good. On those two things I applaud him. He appears to have been a good family man as well.
But trying to do the DREAM Act by executive order? That was going to end well? It started up a stream of minors coming across the border, some dying in the desert or by the people smugglers in the back of trucks. And now they are vulnerable to deportation since Obama did it with executive order, which Trump has undone.
The problem with Obama was he was all about pretty speeches and not much else. When you talk abstractly about 'hope' and 'education is the answer' and 'change' what does that accomplish? It reminds me of an old quote from the first great matinee star Rudolph Valentino's:
"Women are not in love with me but with the picture of me on the screen. I am merely the canvas upon which the women paint their dreams."

In his last year in office, did you approve of Obama's forcing all schools in the country to allow boys and girls to use each other's bathrooms? Is that part of his vision for America?

Trump isn't a good person at all; He has used the National Enquirer, a REAL FAKE NEWS publication to hurt people and used it to hurt Joe Scarborough and his co-host/finance Mika Brenzenski by digging up their past and a day ago catcalled a reporter from Ireland. This isn't fake news, Trump did this and his actions and words prove it!
Like Mr. Trump, I am a native born New Yorker. Donald Trump is a disgrace to New York. As I have stated, stop making excuses for this man. He will truly reveal his true colors and what are you going to say about it?

Michael Dolan, BLM isn't the problem. They are stating what the Late James Baldwin had said 50 years ago before there was BLM. I would highly recommend you read James Baldwin's book The Fire Next Time and watch the recent documentary I am Not Your Negro which is based on a unfinished transcript of a book Baldwin was working on and didn't finish prior to his death 30 years ago. Read the companion book as well.
Baldwin was friends with 3 people whom was murdered: Megar Evers, The leader of the Mississippi Branch of the NAACP, Malcolm X, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
BLM and writer Ta-Nieshi Coates are Baldwin's spiritual heirs. Read Coates' book Between The World and Me which is excellent!
Here is James Baldwin in his own words:

Michael Dolan:  if you refuse to watch and listen to the videos, your silence speaks volumes.

Patrick, Obama was trying to prepare America for the new century. This country retreating into the past. Trump is a relic of the past. America will not be great again by embracing the past, it will be great by embracing the future.
