SUPPOSE THEY GAVE A RIOT AND NOBODY CAME?

My Recent Posts

I am not a fan of Michael Moore but he had a title that resonates with quite a few of us today: “Dude Where’s My Country?”

Many of us watching events unfold on the world stage are asking that same question. So much of what has made America the most powerful nation on the planet is being attacked. Peaceful discourse to address and solve differences is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Never in our history have we had so many of our citizens willing to adopt violence as a way to effect change in the government.

That the protests erupting across our land are orchestrated and choreographed is beyond question. The mystery is to whom does this invisible hand pulling the strings belong? And adding to that mystery is the apparent reluctance of anyone in law enforcement or government to discover and bring to light the identity of the person or persons signing the checks. After all, “spontaneous riots” don’t come cheap and fomenting them is illegal.

We can point to those obscure entities, The Globalists, the New World Order or whichever conspiracy de jour but must keep in mind that every conspiracy theory has a golden thread of truth running through it else it would not be believable.

As an example, several hundred people show up in a small city for a spontaneous demonstration. They gather for the first time at the protest site and square off into opposing factions. Sure, it could happen but you have to ask, if they arrived spontaneously, without any coordination, where are all the vehicles?

Oh, they were bused in? Well, there goes spontaneity. Just a tiny golden thread supporting the conspiracy angle, and there are many others.

If we accept that there truly is an “invisible hand behind the curtain” then the question becomes “why?” What are the game plans and success indicators for this mysterious who-so-ever?

I will not toy with small theories concerning rewriting bits of history in order to placate the feelings of certain vocal groups. I believe that the end game is nothing less than the total destruction of the American way of life as it is currently experienced.

This assault began with low hanging fruit, removing all vestiges of the Confederacy. This was a cause celebre for which a large anti faction already existed and so ginning up massive support was a simple matter. Exploiting racial tensions has always been a sure fire method of dividing to conquer.

The fates seemed to have conspired to provide all the elements the invisible hand needed to advance its agenda. For the first time in history we had a president from outside the establishment. The unanimous attempts by the deep state and nearly all elected officials, both parties, to unseat this president became the focal point that provided misdirection for the invisible hand. It was time to strike.

The initial moves were very successful but in my opinion the invisible hand moved too quickly to the next stage of operation, that or its minions simply got out of control and went off script.

The next moves should have been a gradual assault on other past public officials, those not connected to the Confederacy. There was still much low hanging fruit to be attacked in order to solidify the momentum of the movement.

Woodrow Wilson, an avowed racist, the man who segregated the armed forces, was an obvious target as were Andrew Jackson for the Indian Removal Act and even FDR for the Japanese internment land grab.

Instead of sticking to a plan of incrementalism we get a sudden outcry for discrediting all founding fathers who were slave owners, a move which would devalue everything they did to create this nation.

That would make the entire constitution invalid in the eyes of many and set the stage for civil unrest across a very wide segment of the population. Why, it would be asked, should we obey laws that were written by such evil, racist men?

That this was a part of the end game I have no doubt but moving to it so quickly would be like trying to kick a game winning field goal from 80 yards out.

The final act of this decades long movement by the invisible hand is meant to result in a largely borderless planet, leaving only one or two other nation states to provide the perpetual enemies needed by the military industrial complex.

To see what this dystopian paradise would look like simply revisit that literary Nostradamus, George Orwell.

Those who make up the invisible hand see the novel 1984 as a desirable world operation manual. They, of course, would be in charge and so the negative elements of such a society would not touch them.

So when you are kicked back on the couch, holding a cold beverage of choice, and watching the latest riot unfold on your TV, don’t think of it as an isolated event, regard it rather as chess master Kasparov squaring off against IBM’s Deep Blue.

There are many more moves to come.

There is no mystery as to who puts it together.  We either join an organization and co-ordinate to raise funds and mobilize  (which is easier than you think) or we show up in groups randomly to our congressional or senatorial offices.
I work with both state and federal legislators and have for years on specific issues.  Now its just a free for all.
But then a couple of groups came along to centralize these efforts with very simple ideas, no funding, no leaders just a how to.
ITs working.
Nothing to do with snowflakes and as the tension mounts against this President and policies of the White House, it is going to get much louder.  I expect with the new WS movement much more violent.

Thanks for your comment.  While I am not one to argue with someone who has "in the trenches" experience," the logistics involved in moving people from one area of the country to another, providing them with signage that appears to be made at the same printing facility and in some cases convincing local law enforcement to not intervene when the clubs start swinging seems to me, a layman, to be daunting task.
I sense a glacial movement aimed at dismantling the old order of individual nations in favor of a world governmental body and the elimination of all borders.
Such an outcome just might be the ideal way to manage a planet, I don't know.
I suppose an advantage would be that if the ETs came and said, "take me to your leader," there would be somewhere to send them.

Many blame George Soros for funding the protests, I don't know, peaceful protests are fine, but riots are not, we don't want anarchy!

Social media that can produce flash mobs also helps. Watching from CanaDa, I saw pictures of the right wing side, taking advantage of open carry laws, dressed in Army Fatigues and carrying assault rifles. That is really heavy duty intimidation without having to fire a bullet. against what? sticks and stones. I read the battle shields the right had, had sharpened edges that inflicted real cuts. They were prepared for this.

You keep on referring to the "Invisible Hand" that up to now, was believable by the believers in money and things only in the context of Adam Smith " Definition: The unobservable market force that helps the demand and supply of goods in a free market to reach equilibrium automatically is the invisible hand. Description: The phrase invisible hand was introduced by Adam Smith in his book 'The Wealth of Nations'.

My personal Faith is in an Invisible Hand much greater than that one governing material wealth. We are materially rich but Spiritually poor, the 1st Prime Minister Trudeau observed in the 80s.

Just taking the spirit of these letters that appeared in THE KANSAS CITY TIMES on September 13, 1976, and looking into this material world TODAY, it is GENERALLY unfolding along those lines these 41 years later.

target="_blank">“He came to town for the Republican National Convention and will stay until the election in November TO DO GOD'S BIDDING: To tell the world, from Kansas City, this country has been found wanting and its days are numbered […] He gestured toward a gleaming church dome. “The gold dome is the symbol of Babylon,” he said.” […] He wanted to bring to the Public’s attention an “idea being put out subtly and deceptively” by the government that we have to get prepared for a war with Russia.”

The Invisible Hand did it.

p.s. I clicked on like for this writing, Rick. Question more.

Do you know the difference between prayers to God, and this message from God?

Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination to me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble to me; I am weary to bear them.
And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil;
Learn to do well; seek Judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:10-18

Dino, Yep, Soros gets the blame/credit for funding it all.  I don't know if this is true but have no reason to doubt it.

Dannl, the promise of equality to the Proles is usually kept.  They are equal in poverty and servitude to the "servants of the people" who rule over them.

Ray, yes social media can and does produce flash mobs.  On the other hand it does not provide transportation across the country so that the same faces can appear carrying signs that seem to be identical to those at the last "peaceful protest".  That requires organization and logistical planning.
I confess to having lifted the metaphorical "invisible hand" to describe those unseen beings who control the puppet strings (again metaphorical) that are controlling all the useful idiots (stolen from Lenin) who who are willingly, gladly lending their efforts to the destruction of this country.
I have heard it said that when you speak to God it's called "prayer, when God speaks to you it's called "schizophrenia."   I speak to God on a daily basis and trust that my prayers are heard although I have never clearly heard the voice of God, only witnessed the occasional  manifestation of things prayed for.  As my sister once said to me, "God always answers prayer but sometimes He says 'no'."

Rick, riots are not new to the U.S. There were riots in New York against the draft during the Civil War. During the Great Depression, there were tent cities of veterans who demanded compensation for their service. Those are just the tip of an iceberg regarding the history of riots in the U.S.
Riots get attention, but in and of themselves they rarely resolve anything, because violence rarely resolves anything, nor would we be much of a nation of all of our policies were decided in the context of a riot. Gandhi was much more successful with peaceful protests, and those who are not aware of the methods by which Gandhi facilitated change should study some history;  you know, that stupid stuff they tried to get you to learn in high school.

Excellent, well-reasoned, well-written article, Rick.

The organized protests don't happen just in the US, but all over the world.  I am convinced that there are professional protestors for hire.  They never seemed to be arrested for their violence, and, if they are, they are released, as though they are untouchable.  There seems to be complicity with the governments of the world.

Soros is the boogeyman of the Right as the Koch brothers are the boogeyman of the Left.  I'm not sure I believe either has that much power.  Sure.  Both try to exert influence, but it goes beyond what they are capable.

"I believe that the end game is nothing less than the total destruction of the American way of life as it is currently experienced."

And, I might add, the restructuring of society as we know it.  In a word, Communism.  Communism is the opposite of what we represent.  Maybe it is Globalism or IMaGE.  The end result is the same.  O started the destruction.  His goal was retribution for the evils of the white man.  In my estimation, he was just a pawn for the end goal of total destruction.  Some say it is Russia.  They give Putin too much credit.  Maybe he is a working member of the devil's council, but I doubt it.

"This assault began with low hanging fruit, removing all vestiges of the Confederacy."

It began much sooner than that, in my estimation.  The next assault is on our "racist" Founding Fathers.  It has already begun but has not yet run its course.  They needed a precursor, the Confederates.

The Constitution is their biggest obstacle.  They have to get around it.  They almost succeeded.  To get around it, they must control the Supreme Court.  That is why they must get rid of Trump before too much damage is done.  If he appoints the next couple of judges, the damage is done for the next couple of decades.

Jeff, well said.  I remember history class, it was that dull stuff all about dates and stuff.  My most memorable year was that taught by Mr. Runkel, ninth grade, first period.  We all sang, "Uncle Runkel, Uncle Runkel, what a hell of a way to start the day, with Uncle Runkel."  Unfortunately much of what is taught as history has been rewritten by the "winners," and civics is nowhere to be found.
Gandhi and his followers had to endure a lot of head clubbing before the Brits were shamed into leaving India.  I don't know if too many of our citizens are prepared to play "baby seal" for the establishment

Leroy, it's true that what we are experiencing is part of a global movement rather than disconnected events.  It's similar in a way to filming a movie.  The scenes are shot in seemingly random order for the sake of logistics and expense and then edited into a story arc.  I feel that in beginning the assault on the founders the "they" have gotten ahead of the script.

Dannl, a problem when working with well scripted  "spontaneous" demonstrations might be that some folks begin to create such events on their own, not having read the play book, and kind of mess up the narrative.  The establishment knows that mobs are more effective when under positive control.  As are presidents, from their perspective, I might add.

I'm not sure who is directing the protests, but it is important to denounce violence from both sides, the alt right and alt left. It's also important to know who these people are: “The Media Needs To Disavow All Political Violence Including the Antifa Alt-Left” @trentlapinski https://medium.com/@trentlapinski/the-media-needs-to-disavow-all-political-violence-including-the-antifa-alt-left-86ea2ab4ecdb

Jenifer, thanks for the link.

I nearly wrote "no one knows who is directing the protests," but that would not be accurate.  The flow of funds is easily traced and only a naif would believe that it hasn't already been done by more than one agency.  The question here is why has this information not been brought forward?  Those behind the curtain are being protected from public scrutiny and I for one would be interested in knowing why and by whom.  I think that would be a far more interesting story than any Trump tweets or alleged shenanigans.

Winston Churchill once said "just because we're trying to kill each other doesn't mean we can't be polite". I guess some people are saying these days "just because we are polite doesn't mean we can't kill each other". Unfortunately for "progressives", PC tools and left wingers, they will lose in a war with the Right because those guys are decades ahead in terms of planning and organizing while most of today's lefties have been too content to enjoy the fruits of their forebears' labors to rise above the fitness level of Meal Team Six. Basically they're taking on people who've lived hard and fought even harder for a long time, and it's going to be a slaughter.

Things being what they are, I'd recommend the Left get back to their parents' basements and Call of Duty, because the real world is real ugly. There's no ammo lying around, no re-spawn or reset- people ain't statues so when the chips are down and weapons are up, somebody ends up talking to Jesus soon after. Where there's a war, you'll find soldiers and mercenaries. Where there's a riot, you will find idiots who think they're willing to die for a cause. Then it happens, and it gets cold, painful, jagged and lonely. Adrenalin kicks in, there's an urge to run and eventually Death strolls to pick up the hapless soul. Thus has it been, thus shall it always be.

The statue controversy is just made up nonsense meant to distract, whose initiators didn't learn the lesson the Economic Freedom Fighters figured out in South Africa a little over a year ago: you can push for a while, but eventually somebody you can't intimidate will stand up, ready to kill- and then your underwear starts to smell funny...

THE KINGS TERRIFYING NIGHTMARE

And whereas  you saw the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be DIVIDED; but there shall be in it of the STRENGTH OF IRON, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with miry clay.
And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be PARTLY STRONG, and PARTLY BROKEN. And whereas you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
And  in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these  kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Jenifer, it would seem that the digital age has loaded us with so many opportunities to "discover" the world that the time to explore is severely limited by the sheer volume to be explored.  That results in us gravitating toward information that validates our pre-held convictions to the expense of discerning anything from the opposing view.  Put differently, "my mind is made up, don't confuse me with the facts."
Jenifer Frost Added Aug 20, 2017 - 6:30pm
It would seem that you are largely correct Rick. As for me, I strive to remain impartial and follow the facts wherever they may lead. Although I will admit that I will focus on an important topic over trivial and less critical data. But that seems only logical as opposed to being led by emotionalism and personal bias. It is frustrating to waste time on people who ignore facts for conspiracy theories and magic thinking and who have an obvious agenda (whatever it may be).

Rick, it's a good one. Man, but Brandon Jenkins sure knows how to sing. Thing is, I'd rather see people march towards the Mona Lisa or some other beautiful thing because war is ugly. The problem is when they give a war, those who like to fight will come. When they give a riot, those who like to loot will come. I wish it was different, but it's not. My hope is the Left and Right see they're being manipulated and find a way to stop escalating the level of conflict.

Mircea, I agree on Brandon Jenkins and also on marching toward beauty and peace rather than war.  Perhaps if the first cut on that album, "Blood for Oil," wasn't so true the march to peace would be simpler.

As for manipulation of both the left and the right, Lenin's "useful idiots" come in all ideologies.  We have ours, they have theirs.  When it comes to looters and riots, some call it a "protest demonstration," some call it "shopping."

What’s happening now is nothing compared to the Civil War where approximately a third of the country took up arms and decided to leave the union.  I would also argue that riots of the past are far worse than today’s riots.  The only reason damage estimates are higher is because of inflation.  Not to mention the fact, the death totals were a lot higher in past riots.
