I am a Catholic. I went to Catholic school in San Francisco where I grew up. I was also an Altar Boy and sang in the choir. I enlisted in the Marine Corps at age 17 in 1973 and served five years; currently living in California. I look in the mirror every day and see a man who has seen his country deteriorate over the last 20 years, slowly being strangled by the far left and their socialist ideologies, allowing illegal immigrants to flow across our borders and test our welfare systems to the very breaking point! I see a man who is witnessing historic corruption in the State Department, Department of Justice, CIA, NSA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and probably others, possibly all the way up to the former President of the United States, obama! I see a man that I respect who knows that others respect as well. I see a man of integrity. My mother emigrated from El Salvador and applied for U.S. Citizenship; Mom did it the right way and was so proud when she received her Naturalization Papers. It took a long time and a lot of money but she did it before leaving my scoundrel father and moving us all to California back in the day.
When we use the word "Immigrant" we refer to those "tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free” and when we use the words "illegal immigrants/aliens" we are referring to those who choose not to follow the United States Immigration Laws and cross the border illegally.
As a human being, of course I have compassion. I feel empathy and sympathy for anyone not as well off as me and I will tell you, I am not well off. President Trump is President Trump. I am not talking as a Trump Apologist, but rather, as a Trump Supporter. I cannot attest to why President Trump acts like he does but one thing is for certain, he gets the job done. Perhaps he acts this way because it does get results. What have our career politicians, those who speak gently and call each other "my friend/colleague so-and-so from so-and-so" in hearings, done for the American public in recent years? Obama doubled the national deficit. Bill and Hillary Clinton now have $1.8 billion dollars that they can play with, while American taxpayers pay for their security and travel, all gained through corruption. All of obama's "masterpieces" are failures and the immigration problem has not been fixed. Illegal immigrants cost California taxpayers in the range of $25 billion a year. That is a b, $25 billion a year for just one state. My point being that the United States cannot take in the whole world. We just cannot sustain that. Economics 101.
One prime example would be the current California Attorney General, xavier becerra. You can check out his bona fides at your leisure via Google. He is up to his neck in the Wasserman-Schulz/IT scandal. There were three “murders/arkensides” of federal prosecutors and investigators have not ruled out they are connected to the Democrat IT scandal. Becerra had to leave Washington real quick when government investigators found out he gave them a fraudulent copy of a subpoenaed server. Maybe you've heard of it. Another one is deleon. This guy brags that half of his family are illegal aliens using stolen identities so they can work. This guy is a House Representative, I believe. Is this the type of America you want your children to inherit?
I know what it is like to want things and not be able to have them because there is no money. My mother raised four of us by herself and was able to purchase a house in San Francisco back in the 1960's. The "American Dream" was still alive back then, not so much anymore for the "Regular Joe." Mom made ends meet but there was no extra, except for maybe a double-feature at one of the local theaters on Mission Street. Mom didn't use welfare or any sort of government handout - Mom is too proud for that and worked hard for us. So for illegal aliens to come into my country, our country, and take it over physically as well as financially, I have to say enough is enough. I understand that they are poor but we have poor here in the United States. Where is all of your compassion about the United States’ poor? Some of your fellow Americans don’t have enough to eat, no place to sleep. We cannot even take care of our senior citizens, children living in squalor and poverty right here in the good ol' U.S. of A, the homeless, veterans whose experiences were so terrifying that they need help and you turn a blind eye and then welcome the illegal aliens. Why don't we take care of our own first and then we can help others. If we are broken, it helps no one in the end.
