Most Destructive Force in 21st Century America: Endless Legal Immigration

By Frosty Wooldridge

“Diversity within a nation destroys unity and leads to civil wars,” said eminent biologist and social scientist Garret Hardin. “Immigration, a benefit during the youth of a nation, can act as a disease in its mature state. Too much internal diversity in large nations has led to violence and disintegration. We are now in the process of destabilizing America. The magic words of destabilizers are ‘diversity’ and ‘multiculturalism’.”

Since the egregiously senseless 1965 Immigration Reform Act that opened our floodgates to enormous immigration numbers, our U.S. Congress flooded America with an added 140 million people within 40 years.  If left to continue, another 140 million people expect to make America home within 30 years.  When Congress passed the Act in 1965, only 3.5 billion people inhabited the planet. Unfortunately, third world countries did not understand Earth Day and birth control, thus, they added 4.1 billion to reach 7.6 billion people globally.  And because of their wretched lives in their own countries, they all want to immigrate to America.  Your children face this demographic future:

Ten minute “Immigration off the Charts”:

In 2018 and beyond, legal immigration proves itself the most destructive force in American history. Nothing in our history will prove as destructive as immigration.  An endless line of legal and illegal immigrants overwhelms America’s borders.  Their desperate numbers grow by 80,000,000 (million) new babies, net gain, worldwide annually.  Third world countries explode their birth rates beyond carrying capacity for their citizens.  The results play out in lack of food, water and resources.  Latest reports show 4,000,000 children die annually of starvation and 8,000,000 adults. (Source: United Nation report on worldwide starvation rates.)

That total number of displaced refugees, the biggest single-year increase in the history of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), equates to 44,500 a day and brings the total number worldwide to 68.5 million refugees looking to migrate.

Within 20 years, that 68.5 million refugees expect to explode to over 100,000,000 (million) refugees worldwide.  Why?  Third world countries add 1 billion more humans every 12 years.  In this five-minute video, it brings you a greater understanding of America’s immigration predicament.

In a five minute astoundingly simple yet brilliant video, “Immigration, Poverty, and Gum Balls”, Roy Beck, director of www.numbersusa.ORG, graphically illustrates the impact of overpopulation.  Take five minutes to see for yourself:

While most of our 535 Congressional Critters continue to leave our doors wide open, they lack any understanding of the long-term consequences.  My lifelong friend, the late Dr. Albert Bartlett, University of Colorado physics professor and population expert said, “Humanity does not understand the deadly consequences of exponential growth.”

Essentially, he said that anyone who promotes endless growth and endless immigration equates to being an “innumerate” or mathematically illiterate.  In other words, you can only cram a limited number of people onto a plane, dance floor, pool or movie theater. Once you overload that plane, it cannot fly or if it gets off the ground, it  crashes.

Therefore, to continue importing 1.2 million legal immigrants into America annually, and another 500,000 illegally each year, our civilization faces collapses at some point in the future.  It’s a mathematical reality.

And yet, President Trump doesn’t understand it. All 535 Congressional Critters don’t understand it.  All the top big wigs in banking, commerce, radio, TV and newspapers don’t understand exponential growth.

Nonetheless, all of them or their kids will, at some point in the next 30 years, face harsh consequences as to water shortages, energy exhaustion and resource exhaustion. Not to mention our environment and quality of life degrading beyond repair.

What confounds this journalist: why doesn’t anyone with a three-digit IQ see what’s coming?

We’ve got seven states facing water shortages in 2018.  We’ve got horrific gridlock in our cities.  We’ve got air pollution clouding our cities’ air and dropping acid rain on our soils. We’ve got prices skyrocketing on goods and services.  We’ve got species extinction rates accelerating. We’ve got ghettoes and crime exploding because no one can address the basic causes of poverty: just like in third world countries.  We’ve got racial conflict growing instead of diminishing.

The greater our numbers, the greater our consequences.

And then, when you understand Garret Hardin’s warnings on multiculturalism and diversity, your heart must sink at what the future holds for your kids.

This country expects to add 100 million more immigrants from 195 different countries within 30 years. That equates to 100 million people with 195 different world views, religions, cultures and languages.

Why doesn’t anyone see the consequences?  You can see Europe’s destruction with Islamic immigrants.  You can see their cultures being destroyed. You can see their cities turned into chaos. You can see Sharia Law advancing on every country in Europe and Canada.

It's advancing into America at breakneck speed. We now feature an average of 25 honor killings of Moslem women annually in the USA and 500,000 female genital mutilation cases. We’ve got arranged marriages and gays in Detroit or Minneapolis must flee for their lives. (Source: Honor killings and FGM, Feb 2, 2018, White House Press room, DHS ass’t DA, Ed O’Callihan report)

"Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any faith, but to become dominant. The Qur’an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” Omar Ahmed, director of Council on American Islamic Relations.

And much like Europe and Canada, we, the American people along with our leaders, sit back and watch it happen to their country without even a whimper.  We let Congress continue the immigration invasion without pause.

What are your kids going to do with another 140,000,000 (million) people added to this country in 30 years?  At this rate of speed, legal and illegal immigration will destroy the United States of America from within by 2050.

The real problem is not immigration it is overpopulation. Immigration is the symptom.
George N Romey Added Oct 26, 2018 - 10:35am
Yes we have an overgrowth in population in underdeveloped and repressed countries.  The world of cheap and accessible technology shows these downtrodden there are lands in which the living is far better.  Naturally many of them will set out for more fertile lands.  Mankind has been doing so for ions.
However, those seemingly countries paved with gold are in fact resourced stretch and do not have the occupations to accommodate people with little skills, education and lacking not only basic language skills but life skills needed for a modern society as well.  So what happens is what you see.  At best these people become exploited for their desperation.  Forced into jobs that flout labor and environmental laws not to mention personally violated.
This has nothing to do with racism but everything to do with resources.  The US is not the country it was in 1900 when hordes of "poor huddled masses" came to our shores.
But of course it won't be long before the imbeciles are on this thread hurling unintelligent insults.  Of course I ask the question, so can we count on you sponsoring a couple of these families?  Take them in and see to their needs?  Silence, as usual.

George, how come a few of us understand the overpopulation predicament, but the rest of humanity ignores it, avoids it and reacts with 'you're a racist' crap?  I find it mysterious how seemingly intelligent people on this site cannot grasp their own dilemma. I can't wait for Troll and Mushka to bring their scurrilous attacks on logic, reason and common sense.

You’re making two separate arguments. One has to do with diversity, the other with immigration. Europe has two opposite problems: Shrinking domestic populations to the point where there may not be enough young to support the elderly (also in Japan) and an inability to integrate immigrating populations. In Europe’s case, military intervention in Syria to prevent the need for that exodus would probably have been better for nearly all concerned.
The United States doesn’t have a shrinking population in large part due to immigration, though our capacity has limits. The United States is way, way better at integrating immigrants than Europe is, mainly because ethnicity is not part of our national identity. However, there’s one characteristic of immigration that it helps to keep in mind:
Full integration can take a generation or two. Look at recent immigrant populations and you’ll often find problems, which has been true for way over a century.
Look at the older immigrant populations in the United States. Do you really think there are integration issues with Germans, Poles, Italians, Jews, Irish, Chinese (earlier immigrants), Portuguese, Russians? A generation or two down the road you see a lot of intermarriage.
This is also true of Hispanic immigrants but that’s disguised by recent immigrant populations - if you look at those who have been here longer you hear more English than Spanish.
You can look at recently immigrated Muslims and say that some of them resist integration. You can also go to Dearborn, Michigan, and see a very different picture. And while you’re talking about Sharia, you might notice now many Muslims volunteer for our military because they value this country. After all, we accepted them. Not just took them in, accepted them. They had to study to become citizens in order to be accepted because acceptance is a two way street - we insist they also accept us if they want to be Americans. In France, the grandchildren of Algerian immigrants have trouble getting good jobs. In the US, that’s not the case.
The key to successful immigration is successful integration. At that point, diversity becomes way less of a problem. Don’t be so quick to dismiss your country’s greatest strength. China cannot turn desirable foreign scientists Chinese, but we can and often do turn them American.

As a militant socialist and open border advocate, I am all for unlimited immigration into America.  It would bring many hardworking folks here, and it would displace the lazy Southerners who do nothing to contribute to our great nation.  I know it may be difficult at first, as the country would go through some growing pains, but eventually the numbers would stabilize, and we would reach a happy equilibrium.
On a related note, we DO have the natural resources in the land of America to support everyone, but we let companies mine them and ship them out of our country.  If we socialized our resources, we'd have enough for every man, women, and child.  I, for one, wish America would keep its natural resources in America to use for American citizens.
George N Romey Added Oct 26, 2018 - 11:55am
I look at this solely from an economic standpoint.  The US and Europe for that matter does not have the financial resources to care for people that will not be able to adequately provide for themselves and their families.  What occupation will someone with a grade school education, no hard skills, no ability to speak the English language and unfamiliar with a modern technologically advanced country get?  Not one paying much, and in fact, one that will likely open that person to abuse and exploitation.
So Troll. Can I mark you down that your family will take in at least three of the families coming across the border in the Caravan?

K, unfortunately, we cannot and no can integrate a religion that wants to kill all other religions and people:
The Islamic religion-political system: a highly emotionally infectious, contagious, repugnant and debauched ethnic disease masquerading as a religion--added to a diabolical Sharia Law mandate.  It warps minds of all adherents and forces them toward brutal, violent, cruel, vicious and insane behavior toward men, women and children.  It creates suicidal maniacs and insensate intellectual morons.  Humans under its spell lose their sensibilities, rational values, dignity and minds.  They resort to wanton acts of murder, cruelty, perversion and barbarism.  Because of mass immigration into first world countries, this insane religious disease floods into every corner of the planet—and with it a complete destruction of women’s rights, children’s rights, intellectual rights, gay rights, free speech, free choice of religions, dress, free choice of spouse, killing of gays, honor killings of women and a complete loss of humanity by Islam’s adherents.  If not stopped by the willpower and force of first world countries, it will ravage the free world back into the Dark Ages.  Frosty Wooldridge, six continent world bicycle traveler

We need a greatly shrinking population. A/I is coming in. The workforce will be surplus to requirements. There will be ample to fulfill all the needs.
I suggest we start to address the reasons that the undeveloped world are breeding like flies and bring in measures to help them control it. They are creating their own poverty, pollution, misery and lack of employment. They need help.
The immigration is a symptom of this problem. They are trying to escape to a better life for their children.
Bill H. Added Oct 26, 2018 - 12:56pm
As always, nobody wants to tackle the issue of overpopulation. The first thing people need to realize is that it is the cause of virtually ALL of our problems. Seems that religion wants to ignore it because it becomes a source of more "followers". Seems that corporations want to ignore it because it creates more customers. Seems that a certain political party wants to ignore it because it may produce more abortions. And of course, people ignore it because they don't want to practice safe sex.
If we continue to ignore it, nature will do it's best to control it by introduction of more resistant viruses and diseases, increasing levels of homosexuality, increasing natural disasters, and eventually resorting to the asteroid solution.

Frosty your friend is missing an important bit of research and observation.  Dr. Bartlett is not an expert in the area you have quoted him as saying.  neither am me so I will present my understanding.
<<My lifelong friend, the late Dr. Albert Bartlett, University of Colorado physics professor and population expert said, “Humanity does not understand the deadly consequences of exponential growth.”>>  Their have been studies in animals that shows that explosive grow doesn't occur.  The stress on the society of those animals always cause the birth rate to go down.   Now the stress can be caused by many things and since humans are intelligent we as a society can create a reason for high stress that causes a birth rate decline.  You point out the culture of nations like Japan, and many countries in Europe have negative native birth rates and all western nations have reduced their birth rates.  I am not counting those that are new to the nation and have not fully accepted the nation's culture.
The immigrant that have moved into western nations within a few generations will share the culture of the nation.  The exception to is the culture in a religion that defines themselves as a superior culture and that the members need to not intermix and pollute the religions.  To my knowledge Islam and Judaism religions have such beliefs.  That doesn't mean that a culture will not have some influence.  Judaism that has been without nations for centuries has been altered but it takes a long time.
The culture in the immigrants nations have different stress raisers.  I think that if you measured the birth rate in the nations that they are leaving is less then the birth rate when they get to a western nation, because our welfare system reduce the stress.
Frosty, I think that the critters in the DC belt do understand.  <<While most of our 535 Congressional Critters continue to leave our doors wide open, they lack any understanding of the long-term consequences. . . .   And yet, President Trump doesn’t understand it.  All 535 Congressional Critters don’t understand it.   All the top big wigs in banking, commerce, radio, TV and newspapers don’t understand exponential growth.>>   Your assuming as do all progressives or liberal or socialist, all the same today, that humans are naturally good.  It is part of the foundation.  That is the only way that you and also believe that a human can make good laws and that the one human can make good decision that effect the life of millions.  Their exist master minds and the DC belt is the home of master minds.
Fox is running video of the major DIMMS having press conferences state that we need to protect our boarders   We can go back decades and find similar statements by DIMMS saying the exact same thing.  Eisenhower deported huge numbers of Mexicans and at the time I know that one house was controlled by DIMMS for the simple reason is that the civil rights legislation was put forward during his term.  The now praised by DIMMS a legendary Mexican farm workers leader actually supported his members themselves sending illegal immigrants back.  They said as did the DIMM and GOP politicians that illegals were taking away jobs from Americans and lowering wages.
Frosty American politicians knew what happens when illegal immigrant enter the work force and have so for decades.    Maybe you should consider that the civil rights laws changed the demographics of voters in the nation.  LBJ doubled down on the welfare programs and said, “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” —Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One -  Some think he thought that welfare would work for 50 years, where we are at.  So illegal immigrants were the replacement for niggers since that is when the 1965 immigration bill allowing chain migration passed.   This is the plan not a mistake.

Ultimately and as cruel as it may be no one is going to help these people.  A country example like Haiti as the less than 1% super wealthy skim off the misery of the dire poor 99%.  The dire poor that continue to have children they can't adequately care for.  In the interim the 'developed world" is "fully developed."  There's no more room at the inn.
Their leaders are not going to listen to anyone from the developed world.  They are too busy enjoying their riches.  Look at the way the super rich live in places like Mexico.  You think give a rat ass about the poor in these countries.  I've been to these countries.  The attitude of the rich I've met (being a somewhat affluent American).  God gave me a rich family, them a poor family and that's the way it will always and should be.
Sad as it may be there is now and will be even more mass genocide. Some of it by social rest, some of it by disease and plagues.

You’re generalizing. There are more than one and a half billion Muslims in the world and Islam does not manifest the same way everywhere.
Take the Sufis, specifically a congregation from New York headed by Imam Rauf. He’s the son of an international negotiatior and one himself. He is against terrorism, he thinks that American law is closer to what Sharia law is supposed to be than fundamentalist actual Sharia law is, and he’s been sent to the Middle East as an ambassador for the US State Department.
You’ll notice I mentioned that his congregation is in New York. His congregation built what was erroneously called the Ground Zero Mosque. The American public picked the most pro-American Imam they could find and vilified the Hell out of him.
Several years ago, there was an incident on the West Bank where a Palestinian stabbed a settler family to death, including a toddler. The PA’s position was that settler families shouldn’t be there. An Israeli journalist took a TV camera, went to a shopping mall in Nablus (not a pro-Israel neighborhood) and started asking passers-by what they thought. On camera, they all said it was a violation of Sharia to murder them. When he brought the footage back to Israel, it shocked the Hell out of other journalists. I don’t know if it got much attention, but I somehow tripped over it.
That’s on the West Bank, let alone here.
You may also not know about the report in the Times of India, this one maybe three years old, about an enormous Sunni convention in India, which has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world. This convention had an attendance of well over a million. Tied to this convention, a group of nearly 70,000 Muslim clerics issued a joint fatwa on Islam-based terrorist organizations, like Al Qaida, ISIS, and Hamas. To put things in perspective, that’s roughly quadruple the number of rabbis on Earth right now. Normal Muslim human beings aren’t newsworthy.
One thing I can tell you as a Jew, familiar with our own history, Back when there really were Muslim caliphates, in the Middle Ages, when Sharia really was civil law, Jews were generally safer in Muslim countries than in Christian ones.

diversity isn't the issue.  balkanism is.  As long as immigrants have similar core values and beliefs, it can succeed.  The problem is in the last 50 years, the drive has not to engage them and embrace them and bring them into our culture and society, but to just bring them in regardless of belief or background.  It is OK in CA to celebrate cinco de mayo, but wave an American flag?  suspension for not being inclusive!
The fact that so many on the left deny the objectives is just sick.  It has nothing to do about assimilation, and allabout power and changing the entire identity of America into just another banana republic to be ruled by the elite.

I agree overpopulation is a core (global) issue, and the US' policy toward it has hardly been coherent.  It has been well proven, in many countries, that improving standard of living leads to lower birth rates.
Virtually no one in the US advocates open borders, but Mr. Wooldridge is against legal immigration, which is the basis of our society since its inception and continues to add value to our society.

I have to agree with Ken’s statement that diversity isn’t the issue, Balkanism is.
There are three cases where we’re going to run into integration issues. The first I’ve already mentioned, which is recent immigrants. That’s the issue with Mexicans: They’ve been immigrating for a long time but the ones you’re likely to notice are the recent ones.
The other two are Native Americans and Blacks, neither of which are immigrants, at least conventional ones. The exception is Blacks from the West Indies, but that population integrates quite well and doesn’t have the oppression-shaped value set that has evolved with the American Black population. These two failures are primarily White failures. The most blatant recent example of this is what just happened in North Dakota, where Native Americans don’t typically use street addresses on reservations and the state legislature used this to deny them the vote. Why the Supreme Court didn’t acknowledge that this legislation deliberately targeted an ethnic group to swing an election I’ll never know.

Couple of points to contribute:
The global population is likely to "top out" at about 11 Billion.   Better access to health care and improved social security in many third world countries has reduced the perceived need for having sufficient children to look after you in your old age....
The Catholic Church and its attitude towards birth control does not help the situation.
The facts are that, in England at least, immigrants on average contribute 40% more in terms of taxes and use less medical resources etc than native English folk.   This is because immigrants tend to be the harder working sections of the society that they came from.   The lazy ones are still back home and did not get up off of their arse to move to Britain.   Immigrants also tend to be younger and therefore need less medical help.  It is estimated that hitting the targets to reduce immigration into Britain will cost the country around £6 Billion annually.
The USA is, relatively speaking, underpopulated with much higher resources (land, water, energy etc etc) per head of population than anywhere else   Hence it is likely to be a desired destination for immigrants because there should, all other things being equal, be more opportunity for them there.
Immigration represents change, so those who have done well out of the status quo in any country are always likely to view it with suspicion or downright hostility

Just like everyone else, they want to build a decent life for themselves and their families and maybe move out to the suburbs one day.   Just like other folk, relatively few of them are fire eating fanatics
If you took a hard eyed interpretation of the Bible you mike also conclude that Christianity was a fairly aggressive faith too.   In the Middle Ages of course it most definitely was with successive Crusades against the Muslim lands.
More recently the name of Christianity has been hijacked to the cause of several unsavoury causes:  Nazism to name but one (Gott Mit Uns)

Look at these terrorist and you can not identify an common denominator but some general categories, the feeling of wanting to get even for some injury.  In many cases the injury is placed on a class that the person in it are considers less then human.   Race and religion are the two leading classes.  All of them have some presence on the internet and have proclaimed their injuries.  But only after the terrorism are these identified.  When the public has directed the government to the actions before the person acts we know that  the government didn't respond, however; the prevention of terrorism doesn't make the news.  So the successes may be a small fraction of the total.
We will not end illegal immigration until we point out the businesses that hire them.  It is our responsibility.  Employees of these businesses need to tell others that this is what their employer is doing.  They need to be identified to their customers and those customer need to effect the bottom line of the businesses.  Threat of stop doing business or actually stopping.  What business understand is money.  And only when it is more costly to have illegals work for them then not will they stop hiring illegals.
Businesses say that Americans do not want to do the work.   I will bet that when we look at the effect of the Reagan requirement to work to receive welfare, you will find that some of the jobs that Americans do not want to do were done by those required to work.
We need to force the state and federal officials to require that businesses use e-verify and then enforce this law.   Politicians well see the effect of customers sending a message to businesses because those business donate money to them.   The only difference between the illegal workers and American workers is attitude.  We need to stop teaching that welfare is a right.  Those illegals come from nations where welfare is not a right.
The founders understood that welfare needs to be local because then it become personal.  John Locke told them that The law of nature teaches not only self-preservation but also preservation of others, 'when one's own preservation comes into competition.'   They saw a great danger in overly generous welfare policies that would promote irresponsible behavior.  That would threaten the inherent  right of individuals to their liberty, 'pursuit of happiness' is integral to keeping the wealth you earned.   Government redistribution taking away happiness.

It is not multiculturalism that is the problem for America.   It is the opposite:  tribalism.   This is being stoked by those who are robbing you blind to keep you chasing the wrong issues.   Wake up.
Britain has always been a multicultural place, not always without conflict.    Multiculturalism was one of the driving forces that led Birmingham to become the workshop of the world.   Skilled workers, who were shunned in other places because of their faith or nationality were welcomed into Birmingham.   This gave a the city a skill base that its rivals lacked.. and hence it prospered.
Not all immigrants are unskilled.   It fact, on average, I believe that most are more highly skilled than the indigenous population.   It is those who have the get up and go to acquire skills who also have the get up and go to "get up and go".   The NHS pretty much relies on skilled immigrants for example.

OK Frosty, beyond demonising immigrants (do you mean everyone in America apart from the "native Americans"), what is your solution to the disappearance of jobs to AI and robots.   What would you have those in charge do?

Robin and the rest of you defending endless immigration: do you want another 140 million people added to this country? What exactly will it solve? Our air  pollution? Our quality of life?  Our energy crisis?  Our gridlocked traffic in our cities will be solved?  Our species extinction rates will be solved?  Our water ways will flow clean and sparkling? Our acid rain will diminish?  How friggin' short minded are you people and intellectually myopic?  What don't you understand about another 100 million immigrants as to our environment?  Do you really want us to resemble India or China or Mexico?  Good god, I working with "minute minds" and there's no way to bring your comprehension up to speed.

There's plenty of water in the Great Lakes basin around Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and Michigan. As much as you could ever hope to use and it all eventually flows back into Lake Michigan (i.e. Great Lakes) so you're not using it up.

I just point out that, compared with most places, the USA has a greater capacity to accept more people as it is relatively underpopulated.
I would also point out that, for most things, we are mutually dependent these days.   Thee are global times.   You cannot just lock yourself up in fortress America and expect the world to pass you by.

There is a reason for the immigration. The US is an oligarchy and it's all about more for the rich and less for the rest of us. With immigration you get cheap labor. You get another thing to keep people divided so they are distracted from what's really happening. The one percent is getting richer every day while the rest of us get part time jobs with no benefits.
What about a law that makes imported goods manufactured by people being paid the equivalent of the US minimum wage? That would stop our jobs going overseas for slave labor that makes the one percent richer. And what about the money hoarders? Money is like blood, as long as it's circulating everything is fine. You get people hoarding billions and keeping the money offshore to avoid taxes, this is not good for the country.
Suppose we recall all American money to exchange for new money? We would find out who has it all and where they keep it and how they got it. We could then tax anything over say 100 million by 99 percent. You can't convince me that all the billionaire could not live on a hundred million. If something like this is not done soon we will all end up slaves to the one percent. Immigration is just a distraction.

Yes we can send people to the middle of the barren country then what?  Where would they work?  Given lack of English skills what are they to do in the middle of a desert or forest?  There's a reason few Americans live there.
We actually have a good case study in this country of taking poor, unskilled people and throwing them into unpopulated lands with little opportunities.  Its called the American Indian.  And you think illegal immigrants with the same level of low skills and little education would do better?
BTW, illegal immigrants by far have few skills or education.  If they did they could wouldn't need to come here.  Those with skills and education do quite well in their home countries.

Frosty:  We are not intellectually myopic.   Neither are our minds minute.
The difference between us is that you seem to believe that America can haul up the drawbridge and be insulated from the rest of the world.  I believe that it cannot.   This, like it or not, is a globally interconnected world in which we live.
Our industries rely upon materials sourced from across the globe (and particularly the Silk Road and "Shit Hole" countries which your President has been so complimentary about).  Our industries rely upon global markets to deliver the scale of manufacturing which they need and global markets to give them large enough sales to give ROI on their investments.
The problem of future unemployment due to competition from AI, robots and drones is a world-wide one.   If we do not solve it we are in danger of market collapse (as fewer and fewer people are able to afford to buy the stuff we produce), possible popular revolutions (which will not help the market) and serious increases in criminal activity (as people take the only other possible way open to them to provide for their family).
There is also serious danger of armed conflict between nation states.  The USA may well be an aggressor in this as it sees its role as "top nation" starting to slip and decides to demonstrate its military might. (I suspect a manufactured reason to attack Iran may be coming soon... just like Iraq in previous times.  This would both demonstrate that the USA has a wopping great army and potentially destabilise the Silk Road countries along the great belt of resource rich territory leading from Iran across to China.)

Since responding to this thread I have done some further reading to try and understand what is driving this growing migration in Central America.
It seems that the root causes lie in the performance of agriculture in the region.   About one third of the population are directly employed in agriculture with many more having their fortunes indirectly linked to the industry.
It seems that climate change has been starting to hit the region and caused falling yields.   This has put pressure on personal finances and consequently also driven up crime.
With climate change seemingly set to accelerate, it seems pretty clear that there will be an increasing number of pretty desperate people "south of the border".
Ultimately the way to try and reduce this migration is therefore to try and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Since Trump is a climate change denier, this is probably not going to happen.   So you can expect a growing migration pressure against the US's southern border for decades to come
