Get Rid Of The Darkness By Adding More Light

Every day it seems the news headlines report a story of yet another tragedy. Do you ever just sigh and lean back in your chair and feel a sense of sadness and despair? Is there anything we can do about the darkness in this world? Yes, we can add more light in the world! Darkness happens when not enough light exists. Only light is powerful enough to get rid of the darkness.

“Then Jesus spoke what is said in John 8:12 - “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Jesus made it very clear that we are the light of the world. We are called to shine the light of Jesus through us. From the beginning of time, God has been the source of light.

Then God stated what is said in Genesis 1:2-3 - Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Imagine a world full of darkness. Then, with four words, God said: "Let There Be Light." Every living thing relies on light for its existence (plants, animals, and people).

Then what is stated in 2 Corinthians 4:6 occurred - For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Trying to shine on your own light can be exhausting. Instead, you are called to be closely connected to God and remain in Him. When you do, God’s light pours forth through you in powerful, brilliant ways that change the world.

The ways you shine might not make the news, but they make even more of a difference than you can see. They change lives!!!

And if you are not shining, are you ready to change your life?

On a side note, how does my shining have anything to do with the quantity and severity of tragedies in this world?

How to receive Christ and see the light:

Admit that you are a sinner.
Be willing to turn from your sins (repent) and ask God's forgiveness.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit (Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior).
Daily lay down your filthy crimson rags of human sinfulness at the foot of the cross. Fully surrender your self will for God's will. Pray that Jesus Christ will place His robe of righteous over your heavy shoulders. And exchange your sinful behavior for Jesus Christ's righteousness.

The more you remove you filthy crimson rags of human sinfulness from your heart and mind, the more you will see the Light and Truth. This is a lifelong process that will bring peace and joy that you have never experience. There is no other way.

In other words, being “set free from sin” means one no longer “serves sin” because the “old man” which lived according to the “lusts of the flesh” has been put to death once and for all.

The Bible teaches that Satan is the author of sin. Sin is the reason that we have afflictions, including death. All of our problems and our suffering, including death itself, are a result of man’s rebellion against God. It is also caused by Satan, who uses people to do his evilness. This will not cease until the second coming of Christ.

The timing is unknown , but the Bible Scripture Matthew 24:42 states - 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

All people can have happiness, including atheists. Happiness is a temporary high, like drugs. Here for a few minutes or hours, than it is gone.

People who have accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts have peace and joy, which is much more valuable than happiness. The secret to lasting peace and joy is keeping our minds and hearts focused on the Lord.

It’s such an empty message you offer when accepting Jesus is the condition.  I have a lot more respect for the religious folks that seek to help others no matter the religion of the people they’re helping.  Your message falls flat because it’s nothing more than a cheap angle to proselytize.  It’s cheap because you don’t alert your readers about Jesus until pressed in the comment the thread.  Why not just go out and say it in the article?  I’ll answer that, because it would alert your readers of your true intentions.

The better question is why are you using this platform to provide religious sermons.  Isn't there some church you should be attending.

This world we live in today is already saturated with lies, and it is one of the reasons we are seeing and experiencing so much chaos.

The other point is, the first amendment of the constitution allows freedom of expression from all people. WriterBeat like other forums welcome comments and opinions from all political, social, moral and religious beliefs. Anything less than this would be considered political correctness and censorship of opposing beliefs and ideas.

Comments I get from all responders are always appreciated and considered.

I understand that your motives are honest. But I don't have the same blue eyes. Taking refuge in religion (no matter which one) does not solve one single problem.

You can always counter that argument by saying that "if we all teach our children according to Jesus, the world will be a better place". But that doesn't work, since not everybody is Christian, and human flesh is weak.

That's why religion exists - because flesh is weak.

Marty-
You may find this to be "illuminating," so to speak.

After all, according to the timetable laid out in Genesis 1, the sun, moon, and stars were not created until like the 4th Day, right?  So this would lead one to conclude that a DIFFERENT form/kind of Light pre-existed their formation.  In any case, i'd be interested in your reflections on what science has to say about this particular aspect of religion; you needn't address the science in the article at all, just the premise that a different kind of Light pre-existed the rest of Creation, still exists to this day, and is quite likely to be Eternal.

As to the First Amendment, your understanding of it is backwards; the Constitution "allows" nothing.  The Rights named in that Amendment long pre-existed the Constitution, AND will long outlast it.  They are the gift of God, and no man, nor magistrate, nor group of them - and especially, no piece of paper.  That is what makes these Rights - both named and un-named - Unalienable in the first place.  The Constitution was written specifically to PREVENT sworn gov't agents from trampling on what God has given, and confirm them as SERVANTS to the People, protecting our Rights, not that they are our masters who "allow" us rights or "give" them to us.

That said, Y'shua ha Maschiah is indeed the Door through which one may "go in and out, and find good pasture."  It takes humility and repentance which should remain a lifelong practice, however, for IME, one cannot make spiritual progress without humbling oneself, and especially, changing one's mind upon the receipt of further information, which can also be seen as Light indeed...for the meaning of the word "repentance" is "changing your mind."  The word "sin" is akin to an archer missing a target, and no man is perfect; we're all in the process of becoming perfected, especially those who are seeking it in Truth, rather than pretending to do so...or worse, rejecting the idea entire.

"Be faithful to the Light you have," says an apocryphal scripture i'm aware of, "and more will be given unto you; those in the valley see not as those on the mountaintop."

Before” creation? God existing from everlasting to everlasting — God existing in eternity. God is the great “I AM.” He was not created, He has always been there. God has always been the light, but because there was no other living people or animals, no one knew the light or God existed.

There was no time before God created.”Time is actually a created entity." The first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1.1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. A study of this scripture reveals that God created time, space, and matter on the first day of Creation Week. Not one of these can have a meaningful existence without the others. God created the space-mass-time universe. Space and matter must exist in time, and time requires space and matter. Time is only meaningful if physical entities exist and events transpire during time.

It’s a mistake to talk about what God was doing “before creation” because the concept of time (before, during, and after) did not come to be until Day One of Creation Week. God exists—He is—He is the eternal self-existent One. He is outside of time.

And God is the light, the same light before creation and the same light today. God does not change and the light does not change. There is only ONE light.

Sorry to intervene:

There is nothing that comes out of nothing. There is a beginning and an end to everything, stars, galaxies, human life.

Which means that in one moment in time (or at the moment of creation of earthtly time) something made the universe start. And this starting effect (you might call it god) must have had a trigger BEFORE THAT. Which leads to the question: What created that trigger, since nothing comes out of nothing  ?

You can also say that god existed ever since. Or, in my terms, the universe existed always. No beginning, no end. That's ok. We cannot imagine that, since all WE know has a definite life span, even our planet (so we assume). We have that predisposition to think in TIME frames.

There is no god or allah or jahwe or any other kind of supernatural being which has chosen exactly OUR planet among trillions of billions in the universe to deliver us behavior patterns. It's NOT logical.

If you tell me, god (the universe) existed ever since and it will never cease to exist, tell me: What (not WHO, humans ask who) made the universe come into being ?

You see - that's a useless question. And maybe it's good that we can't answer it.

For something to exist, it must have a creator. Something does not exist by chance. Even if you believe something happen by chance, something or someone had to trigger that event. Who or what triggered that event? Who make the elements to trigger the event? Who had the knowledge to make the event occur?

When you start asking these questions, it takes a tremendous amount of faith to think, it happen by chance. The probability of it happening by chance is unfathomable and immeasurable.

When you look at it from this viewpoint, the only answer is a creator. The next question is who or what was the creator? The only answer is the omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, One and Only Almighty God.

The One and Only Almighty God is the creator of the entire universes.

This must be our Sunday sermon. I would side with Thomas Napers comment. I haven't gone to chirch in some time, but I always keep the thought of God close by. However, let me share something with you which you may appreciate. It is an excerpt from a much longer story of interesting points along the road of life for me. ... excerpt: At the end of the year of 1966 at the age of 16 the Holy Spirit came to me one night. Up to that point in time in my prayers, I had always asked for two things for myself. I had prayed for the gift of faith and for understanding/wisdom. Both of those requests were filled at the end of that year. Although, the gift of faith turned into the gift of no longer needing faith, as understanding replaced the need for faith. That is how that works. Then early in 1967 there was another major understanding/gift that had correlations to one of my ancestors, St Theresa of Avila, Spain.

There is no "who" concerning the universe. We have to shut down "human thinking" when it comes to such stuff.

And...by chance something happens as the combination of elements ? Sure. There is enough TIME around. Even 8.000.000.000 years can provide a lucky moment right ? Nature is trial and error. And we who live for say 80 years ?

In reading and interpreting the various commentaries on Genesis 1:3 and Genesis 1:14-15, I believe
this is what these scriptures are telling us.

The first thing created by the divine Word was "light," the elementary light, or light-material, in distinction from the "lights," or light-bearers, bodies of light, as the sun, moon, and stars, created on the fourth day, are called. This light from Genesis 1:3 was light; but it is achaos of light, that is scattered.

The light mentioned in Genesis 1:14-15 is now collected and made into several luminaries, and so rendered both more glorious and more serviceable. It is now a generally accepted truth of natural science, that the light does not spring from the sun and stars, but that the sun itself is a dark body, and the light proceeds from an atmosphere which surrounds it. Light was the first thing called forth, and separated from the dark chaos by the creative mandate, "Let there be," - the first radiation of the life breathed into it by the Spirit of God, inasmuch as it is the fundamental condition of all organic life in the world, and without light and the warmth which flows from it no plant or animal could thrive.

God has thus divided between light and darkness, because he would daily mind us that this is a world of mixtures and changes. In heaven there is perpetual light, and no darkness; in hell utter darkness, and no light: but in this world they are counter - changed, and we pass daily from one to another; that we may learn to expect the like vicissitudes in the providence of God.

Thanks for your reply.
There's a curious passage, John ch 8, iirc, where Christ says something like "Those who walk in the day do not stumble, because they can see by the light of this world; those who walk at night stumble, because the light is not in them."

Many of the mystics persevered in seeking Him, and found not only Him, but that when the spiritual world behind this one was revealed, everything in this world glowed with light, thus enabling them to avoid stumbling due to the lack of light.

God IS Light, and in Him is no darkness at all; those who seek, find, eventually, if they don't give up.

From the reading i've done, many have found this Light, right here and right now.  It is a grace, a blessing few talk about, from what i understand.

This is, in part, what the link to the article concerning the ZPE field is about.  It posits, in effect, that when God said "Let there be Light," this was the framework, the underpinning upon which all else was built, the physical universe(s) and all it(they) contain - yet these are not the spiritual reality.

i have a book called "The Rainbow Book," which has a cover that depicts a 14th century woodcarving depicting this sort of discovery.  Let me see if i can't find a pic of that cover online for ya.
Ok, here's a link.  It's a colorized version of the original woodcut, of course, but it could be illustrative of the point.

Face palm ...just read your last comment. That is interesting. So let me share further for those interested. At the end of 1966 I had a visitation from the Holy Ghost sent to me by the Father, or so I have always presumed. I was 16 years of age. All of my life up to that point the only request that I had ever made for myself in my prayers was for wisdom and faith.

So one night there I was in bed. The setting is a large long rumpus room off of the garage which was the bedroom for myself amd my brother. Although in June of that year my brother went to Spain, with my father's blessing, to avoid the draft as he turned 18 then, and he was a high school dropout. As I lay there in bed about 8 feet to my right was the door into the garage, and to my left about 20 feet away were double windows facing into the backyard.

So after finishing my prayers that night I then started into a meditation period that I had learned on my own. I was just getting into the meditation when of a sudden I was distracted by light. With a bit of grumpy thought "darn neighbor" in my mind, I glanced across the long room to the windows leading out to the backyard thinking that a neighbor had turned on a light, and that was what had distracted me. To my surprise it was dark outside the windows in the backyard. Puzzled, I pivoted my head to my right to peer into the garage through the door which was open into the garage. The garage was pitch black.

Now as my gaze came back to a centered point I then realized that this slightly green, low level light which had now filled the room was entirely contained within the room itself. That is the point where awareness of this light took hold of me. A single thought flowed of its own within my mind " Jesus Christ I believe in you". In a microsecond after that was the understanding that the only reason why I had that thought was due to my being raised as Catholic, and that it was completely right to think that.

That was the first of two thoughts emanating from my mind through the rest of the enlightening experience which followed. This slightly phospherescent light then started to steadily grow in strength. As it did so, so began a flow of understanding into my being as I lay there as if made of stone. The first part of the awareness was an understanding of my body from one end to the other. Everything, all functions of the body were shown to me.

The light grew further in strength, and then understanding of all levels of emotions came next. The intensity of all of this was now at an indescribable point. Beyond beauty, beyond the ability for me to share in speech with others. And yet the light still grew further in its intensity, and I was then shown all that comprises the workings of the mind/mentality. there were multiple levels in this step of the experience. By this point I was aware to a level which I had never known before. My awareness expanded beyond my physical self to gradually encompass the entire room. I knew what was in every drawer of the dressers, what was under the bed, what was in the long standup clothes closet against the wall next to the door.

And the light still grew in strength. I was then shown the many different rooms  of the mind, up to the highest part of mentality. It was then that a tremendous amount of data flowed through my mind. I remember at the time in my state of hyper awareness a rate of 10,000 questions from me followed by the answers at the snap of the fingers. This went on for 3 or 4 minutes. Again indescribable, I couldn't share what I was witnessing (understanding) further than what I am now telling you. Perhaps a few bits and pieces, if we were to talk in person. People have wondered at times in later years how was it that they could sense/feel me when I walk into a room. For example, entering my favorite bar after a day's work, an Irish bar in San Francisco. I sat at one end, and I heard someone at the other end say to his friend "How is it that we can feel this guy", his exact words. More than once someone has exclaimed "Get out of my mind". They didn't state that directly to me as likely they didn't want to sound somewhat crazy, but they spoke those words. I knew that they meant me.
ps: in 2011 when I moved to the Trinity River where I still live today an understanding came to me that the flow of questions and answers back in 1966 was as if a huge downlad of data was streamed to me. I had never thought of it in that manner before. I also had several other realizations at that time of events from my past.

But back to that night. At the end of being shown the highest levels of the mind ( here is where the story gets very very strange in the telling) I was taken out of my body, out of my room and the house, and off into space in the grip of the Light of God. But back to that night. At the end of being shown the highest levels of the mind ( here is where the story gets very very strange in the telling) I was taken out of my body, out of my room and the house, and off into space in the grip of the Light of God. We went out into space leaving the solar system in a line through the north pole of the Sun. This took us out of the solar system and into interstellar space along the plane of the ecliptic. My vision at this point was omnivision. The most amazing part of this was seeing all of the stars. They were everywhere, countless stars near and far. In all directions, and which I could envision all simultaneously.  I could see where we were heading, and I could see the solar system, our Sun, fade away behind. To where it finally became just another star.
Our path was along the galactic plane heading in the direction which the solar systems tracks in. The destination appeared to be a red nebula far ahead, slightly below and to the right (outside edge) of the galactic plane. It would be difficult to estimate the distances involved, but perhaps around 6 to 8 degrees of the galaxy to the red nebula. Part way to what appeared to be the objective I realized that I no longer knew which star was our system. Shortly after that I finally had a second thought enter my mind “Father if we go any further, then I will never go back”. With that thought I was immediately taken back, and into my body in my bed. Then I was once again looking at a now very strong light still filling the entire room yet not illuminating any part of the pitch black garage to the right of the bed. Then gradually the light slowly dimmed until it faded away leaving me in an exalted state which remained with me for around a week afterwards.
A remembrance from early on in the experience, actually I did have 3 thoughts now that I am retelling the story. After the thought “Jesus Christ I believ in you” came this understanding/thought “The Light was all of me and everything, but I was only a part of the Light

pps: to my story. I told this story in the days following the experience to some of my friends at St Ignatius High School. One of them told some of the Jesuit priests. Several days later 2 of them came to me at the end of the school day, and asked me if I would retell my story to them.

They suggested that we go somewhere off campus. We got into a car and drove into the Presidio of San Francisco to a spot overlooking the forebay of the SF Bay. There I recounted my experience of which I still felt as if I was walking on a cloud. At the end of my recounting this take they expressed amazement. One of them stated that several of the Apostles had had a very similar experience. They were greatly taken by the account.

goldminor-
Thanks for sharing that story.  i've heard a similar one from a fella who says he's a prophet of God, as well.
The experience i had is quite insignificant when compared with yours, not that it matters; one of the things i've learned is that Christ wants a brotherhood of believers, none either lesser-than or greater than another.
What you describe is also quite similar to what Juan de la Cruz also wrote about in his "Dark Night of the Soul," in that at a certain point in your spiritual journey, one must abandon all reliance upon the five senses as well as intellect and memory, and allow oneself to be led along as if blind, in trust and in love.
Prior to reading what you said about nearly reaching the outer edge of the galaxy and nearing the reddish nebula, i sensed that there may be some fear coming; that's something i also read, is that the Holy Spirit will honor your desires at all times...that is, not give you more than you're prepared to handle.
One other thing i've read is that for many people, such a literally illuminating experience brings such joy that you can't hardly wait to share it - but what happens oftentimes is that those who hear you think you're bragging.

There is a book by Kahlil Gibran called "Jesus, the Son of Man," in which he tells a series of stories from the point of view of those who knew Him during His earthly incarnation; in one of them, there was additional explanation of "Do not cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them in the mud and turn to rend you," by saying that those who have not received the kind of experience as yourself will think you're trying to claim that you are better than them; this sort of ties in to a Proverb which states: "Reprove a wise man, and he will love you; a fool will only despise you for the wisdom of your words."
When i reflected on this point, i learned that one way to prepare someone to be more accepting of your words is to first, compliment the one as to his/her insight, understanding, perspicacity and intelligence BEFORE laying on the experience you've received, and in this way, won't be thought of as attempting to teach a fool, but to illuminate one of understanding.

i'm recalling a story i read from one of the apocrypha, about a ruler who wanted to build a great Library; he wanted a copy of the Torah, and in order to get one, he released over 100,000 Hebrew slaves, sending them back to Israel in the hope of receiving one in return.
The Hebrews not only sent him a Torah, but also 12 elders from each of the twelve tribes to explain it to this king.
So as the king would ask questions of them, they would often pause, sometimes for a good while, before answering.  The king got mad about it eventually, and said, in effect, "When i ask a question, i want it answered right away."  The elder he was questioning said "i am waiting to hear from God before i reply."

Told you that to tell you this: ask of the Lord before you impart wisdom, and wait for His answer as to whether or not you should reveal what you'd like to reveal...and HOW to do so.

On a more practical level, what i usually do when posting(on my first-ever thread here, i spent maybe 3-4 hours replying to everyone who'd posted in the comments section, and lost the vast majority of it because i didn't know there was a character limit), when i see that a reply is a bit long, like this one, i'll highlight and copy the entire post before hitting "submit."  That way, if it's cut off, i can paste the entire reply in a second post, then eliminate the duplicate characters so as to complete the reply.

i'll see if this whole thing will post, now, and if so, i'll get the questions i had for you on Wordpress and make a second post.  One of the rules here is that you're not supposed to make 3 posts in a row, so any further comm may have to wait until another reply.

Ok, it worked, so here's the response i had for you on the Wordpress article:

goldminor-
Interesting, but i feel you left out pertinent details.  Perhaps you were cautioned not to reveal them, idk.  For example, you only hinted at the spiritual truths you say were revealed to you; you never said if your dad regretted not listening to your advice to sell, you never said how your right arm and leg were broken in several places, if you ever got sight back in your right eye(or what was wrong with it), if your children were indeed safe, if you ever got together with the Irish woman of your dream, and so on.

Don't know if you meant to fill in details at any point, but it's been 4 years since you posted this, so maybe not.

Curiously, i read many of the writings of Juan de la Cruz(John of the Cross), whose mentor was Teresa of Avila; i also read at least a part of her book, "Interior Castle," as well.  IIRC, Juan's books were: "The Ascent of Mt. Carmel," "The Living Flame of Love," and "The Dark Night of the Soul."  Though not a Roman Catholic, i certainly identify with "catholic," as in the universal church of Christ, and remain grateful to the RC's for preserving the writings of many of the mystics...for to me, these revelations of the Most High are by far the best expression of religion; the experience of God far surpasses theology, the "study" of Him.

i have had several spiritual experiences, myself, but don't know if i should share them here or not; maybe just one relatively unimportant one:

In '75, i was 19, almost 20.  i was headed to San Francisco on a motorcycle in the evening, headed toward the Oakland Bay bridge.  The sun was setting, and i found my attention repeatedly drawn to the diamonds sparkling on the sun-drenched surface of the Bay.
When i looked back up at traffic, i noticed that it had slowed down to around 50 from the 70 i'd been hitting, so i slowed down, too.
Then i turned my attention back to the water, marveling at the beauty of it.
When i looked back at the road, traffic had come to a dead stop, maybe 40 or 50 feet in front of me.  Panicked, i slammed on the brakes, and was sliding sideways toward the rear bumper of the car in front of me, my right side in danger, when time stopped.

i found myself floating maybe 30 feet or so in the air, my terrified-yet-frozen attention fixed on the curious sight of myself on the motorcycle and impending doom, when i heard a voice, coming from above me and to the right.

"Y'know," the voice spoke, deliberately and slowly, as if there was all the time in the world, and we were just sitting on a front porch of an evening with nothing to do, "if you keep sliding like that, you're gonna get hurt bad, maybe killed."
I assented, more with a squeak than any words.
"But," the voice continued in that same slow, stately way, "If you let up offa that brake, there's a perfectly good lane between the line of stopped cars..."
"YEAH!" i said, and was back in my body, releasing the brake and returning upright, coming to a stop maybe 8 or 9 car lengths in.
THEN, i got scared.  i'd had no time to do that, before.  i just took my helmet off and let the traffic go by me for maybe 3-5 minutes or so, 'til i'd caught my breath and my heart slowed down near normal, then continued my journey - gratefully - and slowly.

But in reflecting on this incident, it occurred to me that to the Creator of Time, it was irrelevant; He can slow it down, speed it up, stop it, repeat it, or loop it, as He wills.  So when He says that "we shall all be changed, in a twinkling of an eye," this can take quite a bit of subjective time; or when He says that we'll go to hell for an eternity, it'll certainly FEEL like it, but the entire experience, again, could take place in less than a second of objective time, tick-tock by-the-clock time.

Ah, you probably know all this already.
But at some point, oerhaps i'll relate the time i met satan, and how i learned about how he's trapped in objective time, no longer able to access "God-speed," and the similar experience i had of being flooded with information like yourself.

Face palm ...nice comment and thanks for sharing. My WP post which I had linked to was an effort mainly to get the basics down at that time, a sketch if you will. Note that I am rather straighforward in conversation for the most part. When I have something to say I then state my thoughts plainly in a free wheeling manner. Sort of like St Theresa did. Actually very much like her. I have come to beleive in the last decade that she is the one who has watched over me through my life.

Note above where I mentioned a second inspirational moment. That was a long experience where I found and entered a citadel with many rooms. I only found out about 5 or 6 years ago that my ancestor had also found a castle of many rooms. After several years of interacting on the internet one day I had the thought "Why not look up St Theresa's writings". I had never done that or been exposed to them in my life even though I was aware of the ancestral relationship.

So I googled a bit found some interesting religious sites to read from and started reading about St Theresa and a bit of her written words. I was soon dumbstruck at the realization that first I formed my thoughts as she did. I had a feeling as if I was reading my own words. I would attest to that in a polygraph exam. Then secondly I came across her story of the Interior Castle. I about jumped out of my body at what that meant as in early 1967 I found and entered into what I came to call a citadel. With countless rooms many of which I entered into as I walked the neverending hallway, a story unto itself. Each room unique and holding an understanding.

One other thought in line with your motorcycle/near death moment. As I stated on WP I have faced death many times, perhaps about a dozen times. Here is one of those incidents. I was up on the Middle Fork of the Feather River dredging for gold in the summer of 1982. I had dug a large deep hole in a section of rapids. The depth of which finally reached around 12 feet through the gravels and boulders. When I finally hit bedrock and cleared a large area of that, about 8' by 15', I came across a large and a very large boulder. The large boulder I named the Sun as it was close to perfectly round with a diameter of about 38". The other larger boulder lying to the east of the Sun I named the Moon as it was a crescent moon shape rock around 14 feet in length and up to 36" thick in parts.

These two boulders sat in a large bowl in the bedrock which I would bet they had carved out of the bedrock over time as every winter they steadily chased one another in a circle over millions of years. I fiund good gold off of the bedrock and around the edges of the Sun. I was able to work my way under spots of the Moon as the bedrock was uneven leaving space filled with gravels. I started getting my best gold finds under the Moon. After awhile of working I had made a small cave under the end of the Moon which was closest to the Sun. This where I found my best pieces the biggest was 13 pennyweight which is almost 3/4ths of an ounce, a beautiful specimen of quartz and crystalline gold in a trinagular shape like a little mountain. I found that at the end of the day.

The next morning, greatly excited, I jumped into the hole and went back into what was now a small pitch black cave which I could crawl into, leaving only my lower legs sticking out from beneath this rock. I went to work with a flashlight with me so that I could see what I was doing. I hadn't been down there very long when I heard a voice state "Get Out". This may be hard to believe, but I actually looked over my shoulder at that moment. Then I shook my head, and went  back to vacuuming the material in front of me. I then heard "Get Out Now". I dropped my tools and the suction hose, and flew out of there like a crawdad. Too my left the entire side of the hole was coming down on me. I popped my weight belt and shot up like a cork.

If I had hesitated for one second more than the falling gravels and one fair sized rock would have buried and broken my legs, while leaving the rest of my body trapped under the Moon. That would have become my self made grave.

GM-
I recall a passage from the OT where something like the following is written:
"You will hear a voice behind you, saying, this is the way - walk in it."

This is why i often get into arguments with "bible-believing christians," especially the ones who say that "all you need to know is in the bible" and that the entire bible is the word of God.

If that happens, i point to the beginning of the gospel of John, where it is CHRIST, not the bible, who is described as the Word, and inform them that a) there are not TWO "Words of God," and b) the Living Word is neither defined by nor confined to the bible...and further, will always be superior to it.

Since the bible is finite, by definition it cannot contain all wisdom or knowledge; based on the miracles attributed to the Eleven(after Judas offed himself), i think it obvious that essential knowledge was never written down, but passed from one to another as inspired.  No inspiration, no verbal instruction.

Have you ever heard of the "fireman prophet," Mark Taylor?

Face Palm ...no, never heard of him. Where is he from?

Florida.
He retired in 2011, was so sick he couldn't eat or sleep from 4-5 days a week, and no doc could figure out why.
One night, his wife came to bed late, and he asked her why; she replied that she just couldn't sleep.
He says that immediately, he entered into a vision; he saw himself kneeling on his BR floor, speaking in tongues, more afraid than he'd ever been in his life, and writing with his finger on the carpet - then he was IN his body doing this.  He said that a cloud was in front of him, and while he was praying and speaking in tongues, another cloud came in the door, came from his left around to his right side, and stood there.
Then, he said Light began to come from his hand and finger, as he continued to write.
When the vision ended, he found himself in bed again, curled up in a fetal position, afraid to open his eyes for about 15 minutes, afraid of what he'd see.

The following week, he went to an interpreter of dreams at his church who told him that the cloud in front of him was God; that the fear he felt was the fear of God, that the other cloud which came in was an angel that had been assigned to him, and that because he was writing with light into the carpet, what he would write would affect his walk and the walks of many others.

About a month or so afterwards, he was still sick; he said he was watching tv in 2011 when there was a brief interview of Donald Trump, and he heard a voice say "You're hearing the voice of a president."  Soon after, he put pen to paper and wrote what came to be known as the Trump prophesies.

There are quite a few radio interviews which have been uploaded to youtube; what i'll often do is put "mark taylor" and the date into the search window, and the most current info will soon be available.

He keeps all his prophesies at sordrescue.com, and wrote a book about that experience as well as subsequent ones.

Oh, and one doc finally diagnosed his problem: adrenal burnout from the near-constant stress of working at an Orlando fire department which averaged around 10k calls/year.  He gave the doc a manila envelope containing all the Trump prophesies he'd been given before the doc began to prophesy over him, and say something about what he'd already been told in re: the prophesies, if i recall, when Mark said "i just handed them to you in that folder."

Then the doc said he'd like to show them to his wife, and his wife spread the word, and that's how he began to become famous.

i learned of him about September of 2016, which is how i became hopeful that Trump would indeed be elected.
i have some points of agreement with him; many years prior to my ever hearing about the fireman, i'd come to the conclusion that the 501c3 "churches" were apostates, and he not only feels the same way, but won't go to one of those "charitable orgs," having been instructed not to do so.  His message is about "targeted repentance" and a "rescue operation."

Face Palm ..thanks for sharing. Had to go to sleep after my last comment. I have become a night owl of late at times. Feel like I'm working the graveyard shift lately.

I found the Edgar Cayce story very interesting when I came across that back in the 1960s. His abilties were fairly well documented. I looked up this guy which you mention here. Will watch a few of the videos on him tonight.

Listen, more like; they're uploads of radio interviews, for the most part.

i understand they're making a movie about him, as well.  Don't know when the release date is supposed to be.

Face palm ...yes my dad was bummed out at the result. My dad had acquired a lease/option on 2 acres in Greenbrae, Marin Co which had a 100 seater restaurant and large parking lot. The price was 600K for this great spot which sat next to the Greenbrae Shopping Center. The original owner of Mel's Drive-ins had owned it for decades. He was friends with my parents for ages, and so he gave my dad a good deal.

My father's plan was to borrow a million dollars to refurbish the restaurant prior to a grand opening. I advised that we clean the place up and open the doors asap. Our name would have been enough to draw a full house. He would not listen to me. So that 250K which he let slip out of his hands was badly needed. It alone would have been enough to open it as I had suggested. He eventually had to sell the property. A big named S&L stepped in to buy it. That property is likely worth 10 to 12 million by now, maybe more. That is a high dollar part of Marin. I have 7 siblings. Opening the restaurant would have given a portion of us a good job, with a nice income.. The increase in property values would have set the 8 of us up very nicely. So a mistake by my father in his later years. In his heydey he employed 450 people at the peak of his business endeavours.

My brother has our original restaurant in North Beach SF. The store is open 6 days a week for one shift a day, has about 48 seats, and does about 1.5 million/yr. His prices are the lowest in the neighborhood, and the quality has always been tops.. Our food is the one thing which I miss the most, but I eat very well with my knowledge of how to process and cook fresh healthy meals.

Greed has ruined many a man.
I just find it ironic that your dad, who practically compelled you to learn about the markets because he trusted your insight and judgment, would then claim that you're trying to teach the teacher and ignore you.

Reminded me of the blind man Christ healed before the Sanhedrin, answering their questions about how he was healed, and their saying back to him, 'You, who were born in sin would teach us?" ..before throwing him out.

But maybe he needed to learn a lesson in humility.

Christ was absolutely right when He said "Humble yourself or BE humbled," eh?

But most of us refuse to humble ourselves until we are humbled, usually many times; it is those who kick against the goads that hurt themselves.  It certainly has happened to ME!
