DRAFT: I Never Do This......

My Recent Posts

This is something I never do but I feel the need to defend myself.

Earlier today I banned Gerrilea from my latest article.  I banned Gerrilea because of a violation of a personal rule of mine, mainly commenters are not allowed to insult or threaten my family.  To a large degree I allow anyone to comment on any article, even insult me because I feel all opinions are worthwhile, even those that I find irritating.  My only other rule is that no poster either insinuate or outright call me a racist.  I can be an asshole but I am not a racist.  There was a poster named John G who made this accusation and I deleted his comment for doing so.  Since then to avoid being a hypocrite I will delete comments and posters that imply or say that I am.

Now, along with this came accusations that I am a leach, a lowlife who shouldn't be allowed to vote.  OK.  Well, here's some personal information about me.

I graduated from the University with a dual major in History and Journalism.  I worked my entire college career, either part-time or full-time jobs.  In fact I started working at the age of 17 because my father wanted me to learn a good work ethic.  I've been a dishwasher, a produce manager, a trainer, a customer service representative, a pizza delivery driver, etc.  My father once told me that if I wasn't making enough money at one job I needed two so I've done that as well.

I started working for the state in 2003.  It's grown into a career.  I started as a social worker, processing SNAP and Daycare applications.  Since then I worked Child Protective Services, as a Family Advocate and a fraud investigator.  I later became a supervisor.

I've seen and done it all.  I made a mistake once and fortunately didn't pay for it, I learned never to park in driveways and never allow anyone to get between me and the front door.  I learned never to wear a lanyard with my badge around my neck.

Through it all I swung back and forth between empathy and cynicism.  I learned that poverty is not a skin color but part of the human condition.  I also learned that being a dick is a universal condition and not based upon color, gender, sexual preference or religion.  It also has nothing to do with one's economic status.  Oh, believe me, economic status changes in the blink of an eye.  During the economic meltdown I walked through the process of getting benefits to the suddenly unemployed who the month before  made a very good living.  Things change and they suddenly found themselves needing the same benefits they looked down upon the month before.  Trust me, it happens.

In the meantime my wife and I had two boys.  The younger one is a delight but the older one, well, he is a trial.  It started when he was a baby.  He rarely slept.  It drove us crazy.  We figured out he had a digestive problem that medication fixed but he still had trouble sleeping.  He also made huge leaps in development.  He crawled, walked and talked early.  It seemed like he jumped ahead in leaps and bounds.  We found it incredible and thought that we had a true genius on our hands......until he started school.

His teachers suggested we get him tested due to his trouble socializing, his inability to concentrate or sit still.  He also occasionally became, well, violent.  We eventually learned that he has what is known as  Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism.  I'll post a link to it in a comment below.  It's very high functioning and children and adults can live productive lives with help.  But it's also expensive.  It sucks to have a chronic medical condition in the United States, even with insurance.  Therapy costs 50.00, some of the medication costs 30.00 or more.  My supervisor at the time suggested we look into Medicare as a way to offset his costs and to our surprise we qualified for it for both children.  His therapist suggested SSI as a way to offset costs further and make sure he is covered when he turns 18.

Oh, did I mention I worked two jobs during that time?  I worked full-time at DHS and delivered pizza.  I get legislated pay raises and that happens once every five years or so.  As I promoted I received pay raises but that's about it.

I eventually quit my second job when my wife starting working a bit.  The  SSI isn't much but it covers anything my insurance and Medicare doesn't.  I have no vices, I stopped drinking to excess years ago and I stopped drinking for good in the Summer of 2017 after being diagnosed with diabetes.  I lost 40 pounds in the past year, I exercise 4-5 times a week and I've essentially become a vegetarian.  I haven't smoked pot in about 20 years and I do not cheat on my wife.  My only vice (if you can call it that) is my enjoyment of college and pro football.  I read history exclusively with a particular interest in the Holocaust and Nazi Germany.

Even with all of that I am a leach who doesn't deserve to vote.  Well, I look at it this way.  I've paid thousands upon thousands of dollars in state, federal and sales taxes.  I also paid in thousands of dollars in Medicaid and Social Security.  Those are my dollars that I've paid in and now I'm getting some return on my investment in this country.  Fuck yes I deserve to vote and have my voice heard.  You want me to give up my right to vote?  Fine.  I'll tell you what.  Cut me a fucking check, I want every dime, all of it, every cent I ever gave in property, sa!es, state and federal taxes.  I want all my money that I put into Medicaid and Social Security.   It's probably several hundred thousand dollars by now.  You do that and we can talk about me giving up my right to vote.  Oh, seeing as how I am no longer able to have a voice my expectation is that I will never pay another cent in taxes.  Ever.

Update:  I edited out certain portions of this article to minimize personal information.  I will also be editing my profile and changing my name.  I did this because a member threatened to dox me to my employer.  This is a particularly scummy, shitty, dirtbag thing to do.  I find it disgusting that someone would do this.  I'm not sure if I should take this seriously or not but for my own protection I feel it necessary to do so.

I've never used my actual name before on anything but I noted that others here did so.  I thought this was a safe place to post but I find this is not the case.  Lesson learned.

Jeffrey K--- ROFL...Thanks for the background.

You want confirmation on all you do, say and believe.  You can ban me and delete this post, I'm good with it. I've met bigoted people before, you are no different.

It might surprise you that I honestly have compassion for your child. Aspergers is another one of those created "diseases" to sell drugs. I pity anyone caught up in that system, including you.

You are conditioned to believe those in authority.  In fact, you are "one". You know what's wrong and you're there to "fix" it.

A dirty home is not a criteria I use to "judge" a good parent.  Some just live differently than I would, it is their choice. On the other hand, don't expect me to stay for dinner if I see cockroaches in the sink.

As a State employee and I assume, union member, which candidate did your union support?

If you want all your tax money back, I'd agree...I'm willing to give up my voting right if I can get back all the money stolen from me over the past 35+ yrs.  Yes, I too worked since I was a teenager. In fact, I was 16 yrs old and had two full-time jobs and went to school full-time.

I worked, while in college, 3 jobs, as a dishwasher, a cashier and a clerk at Rite-Aid. Two of those jobs (dishwasher & cashier) were full-time.  I didn't get college grants, what I couldn't afford out of my own pocket, I got student loans.  I have a degree in History/Pre-Law from a private Jesuit College.

I've estimated that I've had over $240,000 taken out of my pay for SSI, Medicare etc.  This doesn't include the sales tax I pay on my phone, electric and gas bills.  Think about it. We get taxed on what we make and then get taxed again on what we spend.

And you can review my latest article, I go into detail why I don't think those whom work for the State should vote.

Jeffrey-- By the by, I never threatened you or your family.  Your article and explanation gives me a clue as to why you are so adamant about being called racist.

I'd have to assume that you are required, to go into the homes, apartments etc of many people and just maybe most of them are of "other" ethnic origins than yourself.  I'd also assume that you've been accused of being a racist because you "determine" by your own "standards" that those people you are taking their children from call you that.

You know, I will let this stand.  For now.  I generally regret deleting people, you are no exception.  I think as a community we can benefit from seeing each other’s point of view.  I also think we suddenly became more willing to delete each other’s comments.  This can easily escalate and then this whole thing becomes unworkable.

You insulted them.  I have no issues with you insulting me, they are off limits.

“Your article and explanation gives me a clue as to why you are so adamant about being called racist.”

You mean not being called a racist?  I’m not.  For example I think Ryan is, hands down, one of the most loathsome individuals I’ve ever seen.  The only one more loathsome than him is Lindsay Wheeler.  There are others that I’ve met that are about as loathsome and they are also white.  I’ve also met other people that were not white that were also loathsome.  Like I said...it’s a universal condition.

“I'd have to assume that you are required, to go into the homes, apartments etc of many people and just maybe most of them are of "other" ethnic origins than yourself.”

Most?  No.  It’s a good mixture of ethnicities.  Read what I said about being a universal condition.

“I'd also assume that you've been accused of being a racist because you "determine" by your own "standards" that those people you are taking their children from call you that.”

”Standards?”  No.  Part of my training was understanding that my value system was not universal.  I had to put away biases in order to accurately assess the conditions in the home in order to determine safety.

TBH I wanted to move away from the subject because it wasn’t going anywhere and it was not the subject of my article.  My suggestion is that if you want to discuss gun control write an article about it.  If I feel like discussing it with you I will do that there.

“You have a personal stake in voting for candidates that will continue keep you employed, at our expense AND give you handouts.”

No, I have a job regardless.  I administer federal programs and such programs come under federal laws, regulation and policy.  I also administer them under Oklahoma state laws, regulation and policy.  The Oklahoma State Constitution includes a section on the Department of Human Services.  I am following the directives of such and my job is independent of whatever numbskull the people of Oklahoma decide to vote into office.  Or the United States.

I’ve held my job under successive state governments and the twists and turns of the feds.  I vote how I wish and for the candidates I want.

“Then you shouldn't vote or discuss the issue because you have a personal stake in it.”

Sorry, I’m an American citizen.  I’ll discuss what I want and I will also exercise my right to vote as a citizen.  Yes, I said right.  I‘m a law-abiding citizen who pays taxes.  I will say as I please and vote for who I want because that is my right.

I get redemption, Ryan.  I’m actually very forgiving.  What aggravates me is hypocrisy and self-righteous douchebags.

“So, you forever try to hold others past faults against them, because you’ve still got yours on your soul.  Sad.”

Ryan, I am a happily married man who doesn’t drink, smoke or do drugs.  I get that I am riddled with faults, Ryan, due to the fact that I am human.  Because I have knowledge of those faults within me I understand human weakness and make allowances for it.  But it’s people like you that make me sick, Ryan.  Your self-righteous anger and towering superiority complex is easily masked when needed when it comes to your own or those you think can only help you.  You all sing the praises of Thud even though he is a disgusting man.  In any other person you would thunder to heaven and hell about the iniquities of the flesh and how that person is going to hell...yet with yourselves you cry about repentance and forgiveness.

Your hypocrisy makes me want to vomit up everything I’ve eaten in the past two years.  I naively thought that there was no way a philandering pussy-grabber would get your vote.  But, hey, he spoke your language and promised to pack the courts for you...so you all dropped to your knees to collectively slobber his knob.

Is there any way I can make my contempt any clearer?

is a classic example of Jungian projection. In fact most of his attacks are exactly that.

Am I alone here or is this entire presentation some sort of performance art? Sort of like Stephen Colbert used to do. Is it about reactions rather than actual opinions? Is this really an exercise in “How outrageous can I be?” If we listen to this guy long enough he’s going to tell us that Antifa killed the Jews in WWII and founded Apartheid in South Africa.

Not alone, Kosher. The guy is an utter whack job. (Have you seen the videos?) Full of hatred that he projects onto others and compulsively obsessed with the conceits of a bunch of privileged slave-owning white men from 250 years ago.

I know a young man who is functioning quite well as a person living within the spectrum.  I have known him for about four years.  He is still an iconoclast.  But he has found his place in the world around him and has thrived due to a positive attitude and an intelligence and work ethic of which any parent would be proud.  He's a good buddy.  An excellent actor, musician and singer.  He is a hard-working college graduate.  And he is my friend.

I'm sure that much of his success has to do with the people with whom he has fallen in.  It's not the first time that I have seen it nor the first time that I have encouraged it.  When he first came into my circle, he was still a bit odd at the age of twenty.  He was never disruptive or even in the slightest way unkind.  But he was taken to sudden flights of fancy that might have seemed unusual to those that did not understand him.  Today, although he is actually quite outgoing, he is reserved and respectful to pay good attention and never speak out of hand.

Anybody who is crazy enough to be my pal has got to be alright!

FJ,
That’s mostly what I do now. When TreeParty asked me if I’d seen the videos, my reaction was “Why the Hell would you watch his videos?” How much more do you have to know? Even if he hadn’t managed to piss off damned near everyone on the site of nearly any political persuasion, if you’d heard anyone wanted to revoke womens’ suffrage and thought autism was caused by masturbation, how much more would you have to know before you stopped reading? You read guys like this to counter arguments in case he’s capable of persuading anyone with a shred of sense of anything. Can you imagine that happening here? Who does he have the ghost of a shot at?

The only person likely to approve at all of this guy is Autumn because he’s directly responsible for a lot of activity/traffic here and triggers way more, including whole reaction posts which develop their own threads, not to mention a fair amount of activity on this thread.

I do believe that a modern society does need social controls, I'm not an economic "righty" and suspect that about in five to ten years, no one will be because a robot has taken their job, and their job was fixing robots.
In addition to this, I too have seen the darker side of life. People would be pimping their kids out to get money to buy food and pay rent if welfare didn't exist.
The drug culture has put young people on welfare. The simple fact is that people smoke pot when they are bored and boredom is a torture for the human soul. Instead of looking for or creating a job, young people smoke pot. They have given up on their future, also, they all subconsciously know something we older folks often do not. The vast majority of young people have no hope for a future they can control, except for the 0.000001%.
The education system does not challenge people or introduce them to truly interesting ideas.

With monetary reform we could easily afford the social programs, along with programs to help people get back on track by teaching them the things their parents never did.Education would be fun and people would enjoy school because it would challenge them and teach them about the science of truth and how to find it.
A bad or broken home is a very painful experience and the pain often lasts a lifetime. Imagine going to work the day after a close friend or close relative dies, you are there but you are not and nothing can change that but time. This is the reality for many people that live in a broken society.

Some interesting responses.
We have some maladjusted thinkers, that’s for sure.
Lots of RINOS and liberals. Anything I say, that a liberal or RINO hasn’t heard before, they lazily dismiss, or, if they get a fit of industry, they dutifully troop to Google to evaluate it. There, they are given further brainwashing by conniving Google algorithms, and you end up with Jeffrey Kelley, who is as sincere a dolt as you ever will find. Hahaha, I don’t care what they say about you, Jeffrey, you’re still alright in my book.
Wats so hilarious about this thread, is we already know who has had their cheese slide off their cracker. Michael Savage wrote a book called ‘Liberalism is a mental illness’. Yet it’s these very same people who are telling me I’m nuts. High praise indeed. So many conservatives timorously and timidly try to stay on the good side of liberals, not understanding by doing so they are becoming part of the crazy. It’s quite liberating to tell the truth, to endure massive backlash, and to keep right on telling it, no matter what.
I really loved Atticus Finch in TKAM when he said ‘I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea courage is a man with a loaded gun in his hand. No, courage is knowing you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyways, and you see it through to the end’.
For those who don’t grasp (maybe not a good word to use), the dangers of masturbation, I’d like to refer you to the 1879 book by the Founder of Kellogg’s cereal, which brand I must confess I’ve been boycotting for three years for supporting the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement (If they really mattered they’d target Planned Murderhood, which wipes out more blacks in 2 Days, then were lynched in 400 years of slavery), called ‘Plain Facts for old and Young’. He outlines the severe danger of masturbation, and all sex outside of marriage. He was wrong about eugenics being healthy (Hear hear Doug!), but can educate liberals. It appears I may be the only one on the site who believes masturbation is evil, which is quite disturbing, but may explain the general viciousness of liberals, the moral blindness of conservatives, and the lack of acuity and general dullness of so many on here. Simply resisting the urge alone gives one moral strength, however long it takes to completely extirpate it from ones life. Those who have not won the fight over their own selfish desires, and masturbation is among the most selfish desires imaginable, can never achieve their full potential, and many go to their graves, never having won the most important battle of all, that against themselves. Aristotle said ‘I count him braver who conquers his own desires, than he who overcomes his enemy, for the greatest victory is over self’. Of course, we’ve been fed all kinds of revisionist historical disinformation about the Greeks and Romans being debauched lechers, which is not always true. Many were quite virtuous and Greece and Rome were very virtuous on their way to power, not so much in the midst of their decline.
I know what I’m saying is true, because masturbation was severely discouraged in the church I was raised in, and I compare how people act with how people on WB often act, and it’s night and day. On WB, you get bold and saucy charlatans who happily say the most vile stuff as often as possible, and who are quite dull. Then, the ones who ought to be correcting these types, are quiet. Mental illness largely did not exist in my church. They understood that peace and happiness largely depended on living up to Gods order. Solomon realized this too, but today’s liberal thinks they are God, and so a host of problems ensue. Autism, Aspergers, OCD, ADD, ADHD, schizophrenia, Bipolar, and all the other imaginary illnesses which liberals who reject God are afflicted with, were nonexistent. Right thought and action leads to a sound mind. Great book on that is James Allens short and profound masterpiece, ‘As a man thinketh’. But, humans are often quite indignant to learn their faults are due to their own choices. It gives them ecstasies to play victim and to pretend they are a hapless victim of circumstance. In reality, our circumstances show us who we really are.
’And the shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free’

MT- Certainly makes sense, as I suspect it also releases even pent-up tensions that may lead to violence.
I've heard people say that it is a great natural substitute for sleeping pills, and some Dentists say that people who masturbate are less likely to grind their teeth while sleeping.
As we can see with Ryan, he has quite a bit of tensions bottled-up that need releasing.
Ryan - try "bopping the bologna" a few times and see if you don't feel better.
I guarantee you wont end up in hell.

I am one of the worst teeth grinders my dentist has ever known, and even wear night guards to help prevent it. However, my dentist has never recommended masturbation as a possible technique to prevent it...

Well, just saying what I heard from a close friend who is a Dentist.
Who could imaging that their own Dentist would recommend it.
Ken - I suggest that more sex in any form would help. Also, some moderate consumption of the Indica variety of Cannabis helps with this condition considerably.
Again, according to my Dentist friend who has been at it since 1972

Ryan Messano Added Dec 1, 2018 - 10:35pm
Yup, Bill, the study is bogus.  It’s more disinformation from Google.  Just like the Greeks had Gods who were corrupt like them, you’ll always be able to find a study to justify your corrupt habits.

You can’t really effectively study sex, because it’s impossible to remain objective.   You can’t think about another’s graphic sexual activities without partaking in them yourself, and there’s the rub, no pun intended.  It’s subjective, and no one has a prayer of remaining objective when being a voyeur into others sex lives.

So, you need to learn to use inductive and deductive logic, and determine from history what choices had good and bad results.  Study the lives of prolific and highly accomplished people in history, and you find they nearly all totally abstained from masturbation.

Prolly true, Mogg, masturbators are often cowards, so it could lead to reduced gun violence, but that would lead to a nation of wimps that would soon be conquered.

I know two non queer men who never masturbated and were single, Stone.  You may have heard of them before.  Jesus and Paul.  Prolly why so many men hate the two because their pure examples activate their consciences towards their dirty habits.

Kosher, best way to subvert reason is drugs and sex outside of marriage, especially masturbation.  Truth depends on purity.  When one isn’t pure, tabula rasa, ones view of truth is distorted.   That’s why I expect massive opposition on here and elsewhere, because only when men are pure or striving for it at least will what I say make sense.  But, anyone who opposes what I say exposes themselves tremendously.  And this is why truth is so unpopular, because when one rejects it, they are exposed to a nasty after shock of their private habits being exposed, which few enjoy.

For what it’s worth, you grind on me too, Ken, and are a bit abrasive, though I agree with practically every post you post.

Bill, interfering with yourself is what has got you so badly deceived.  When you stop interfering with yourself, you’ll have a much clearer vision.

Koshersalaami Added Dec 1, 2018 - 10:50pm
Again, as I observed earlier, there is nothing in Scripture that indicates an obsession with sexual morality in particular. The only thing about it that I know of that Jesus said was “Let ye who is without sin cast the first stone.” What the Ten Commandments prohibit is Adultery, which makes sense because adultery always has at least one victim.

I very, very much doubt that you have a reliable way to determine whether or not any given historical figure masturbated. Do you think they’d write about it? Do you think their contemporaries would know? Let’s assume out of your faith that Jesus didn’t. For whom else do you have enough information to go on? And what on Earth is your source?

Logic is dependent on your having some way to verify your premises. That would seem to me to be a significant issue in this case.
Koshersalaami Added Dec 1, 2018 - 10:58pm
The study looks pretty careful. Objectivity in this case would actually be pretty easy because data is data. You’d lose objectivity if the interviewers didn’t keep themselves out of the way of the process, and survey researchers at that level are very careful about that because a failure in that area could introduce too many questions about the data, and they want their data to be considered valid.

Basically it looks like you’re calling the study bogus for the simple reason that it disagrees with you.

Jeffrey Kelly,  at least you're thinking before you act and I appreciate that. Not that you might or not red X me but why you would red X me.”

I try and think before I act.

“Of course as an author that is your prerogative.”

I will allow this....for now.

Here’s the thing:
To prevent my arbitrarily deleting comments that just annoy the hell out of me I set rigid rules on my self.
1) Insulting or threatening my family is grounds for automatic deletion and a permanent ban from anything I write.
2) Calling me a racist or implying that I am such will result in either a deletion or edit by me.  That’s essentially dealer’s choice, I may delete or edit at my discretion.
Now the first is self-explanatory but the second is oddly specific, yes?  It comes from an old poster named John G.  He called me a racist once and in a fit of anger I deleted the comment.  I then told him any more such comments would result in deletions or edits at my discretion.  He cut the crap but I realized that in order to be fair I needed to hold any future commenters to the same standard.

Now, I will also delete or assist in corrections by anyone who comments on my articles.  I do this at their request and as a courtesy.  So, if you duplicate a comment or misspell something simply ask me to fix or delete and I will help.

I also avoid serial deleters.

“For another user to come to your page and hijack your intent is not Free Speech, it is theft.”

Not necessarily.  This is why I allow comments pretty freely.

“If after reading this you need to red X me knowing I intend to stick to my guns so be it and I will disappear from your pages.”

No, I will allow you to comment....for now, anyway.

“Still, I will look forward to seeing you elsewhere and on my own pages where you, like everyone remain within limits.”

No offense but I don’t think so.  As I mentioned I avoid serial deleters.  At my discretion I may ban said serial deleters. You deleted some of my comments earlier.  I chose not to take it personally because in doing so you made a point.  I allow Ryan to comment even though he deleted some of my comments.  However he did so because I violated one of his rules.  Because of this I chose not to take offense.  But I also think anyone who bans Ryan is well within their right to do so.

I have seen kids much, much worse than him..you have NO idea what you are talking about.   Also its not something to say in passing like that...its a serious illness.

Jeffrey..dont let people get to you. I wrote an article once like this, it was about Ryan in fact.  I took it down.  Ive written one about myself as well but being a woman on here is difficult. Eventually you will just delete because it is not worth your time to battle with people who come on here specifically to do battle.  I dont know why they are like that but they are.
So I ignore those people. Except the threats and those I take very seriously, have documented and done something with.  You will find in some cases there are things that can be done.

BTW I understand about your grandson. We went to an amusement park last night.  The line to get into the park was very long and my oldest son flipped out.  I got him calmed down.  About two hours later he flipped out again, wanted to leave again.  I calmed him down again and we had a good time.

Everyday is like that.  Some better, some worse.

Jeffrey Kelly, I see a distinction without a difference in your protestations on the red X. You clearly say you make a judgement on who you will allow and who you will not. Is there some question in your mind that I do not do the same?”

The issue I have with you delete people willy nilly.  You set up an article just to delete people which looks pointless to me.
I have rules.  I also allow those who I don’t agree with to post freely on what I write.  Even people I find particularly  loathsome like Ryan or Lindsay I allow to post comments.  I rebut them, I don’t delete.

“You say you have rules. Are my vettings of posts any less governed by rules I have set?”

I don’t know what your rules are.  You seem to think you are better than everyone else who posts here.  You are not.

“And while you persist in saying you avoid serial deleters isn't that at your discretion?”

Why would I post comments on articles with someone who deletes willy nilly?  Once I figure that out I stop posting.  I no longer post on Ryan’s articles and I see no point in posting on yours.  That’s a waste of my time.

“At this point, Jeffrey Kelly I have to say that you are so close to being arbitrarily argumentative that I can see no further purpose in debating you.”
