North Korea, China, Vietnam, Canada , and New York state have NO RESTRICTIONS ON ABORTION, The issuing of a birth certificate by the state creates a legal human. The state has wrapped itself around the religion that believes a human is a GOD.

Wolf in sheep clothing, reality from three OBGYN on Fox and Friends is that defects can be determined in the first trimester. Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 and the later abortion Supreme Court decision put the standard of the existence of a human at the point of medical viability (24 wks then and now 22 wks) The Supreme Court ruled that states cannot put the interests of a fetus ahead of the interests of the pregnant woman until the fetus is "viable." The court defined viable to mean capable of prolonged life outside the mother's womb.

Roe v. Wade 410 U.S. 113 1973 and  Planned Parenthood v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 1992 regulate abortions at any point prior to fetal viability ( fetus able to live outside of the mother's womb) and beyond as long as that regulation does not pose an undue burden on the woman.

What about us ?
Are we not worth to be mentioned ? LOL
Stone-Eater Added Jan 31, 2019 - 11:42am
BEFORE we think about abortion stuff we should enable already living beings an existence that is worth that name. They are ALREADY here and deserve more rights.
It is pure hypocrisy to fight against abortion and at the same time make war somewhere and kill EXISTING people......
Stone-Eater Added Jan 31, 2019 - 11:52am
Here in Switzerland it is allowed for old and sick people legally to get killed in assistance by doctors if they decide to end their life. If you don't have the courage to kill yourself, you go to a clinic and they fix you. We have people from all over Europe coming here for that, because in their countries it's forbidden for moral reasons...
Reality is a hard thing to grasp.

Stone-Eater, reality is hard to grasp.  The problem with , assisted suicide is that those charged with paying for the medical care like national health care systems and insurance improve their bottom line if they promote and even make decision that in effect cause more assisted suicide.  And in the extreme force assisted suicide.
Tiny Alfie Evans in being treated at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and suffers from a mystery condition staff are struggling to diagnose.
The 14-month-old family are hoping to find pioneering treatment for their little boy abroad.
Alfie has been in in a coma in the hospital’s intensive care ward since last December, and suffers regular seizures.
As in the Charlie Gard case, doctors have warned they may have to take legal action, switch off Alfie’s life support.  That’s a twist: Unlike in Charlie Gard’s case, there is no firm diagnosis. Why would doctors try to force a baby off of life support when they haven’t been able to determine the cause of his cognitive disability?
Tom and Alfie’s mum, Kate James, have not yet faced a court battle like and are hopeful it will not come to that after more than a dozen American hospitals said they might be able to help.  Tom said: “I’m pleading for help from anywhere now. I’ve been getting in touch with lots of hospitals, and I’ve had a particularly positive response from one in Miami, which has received Alfie’s details.”
Hopefully, the international brouhaha over Charlie will make it more difficult in Alfie’s case for the authorities to impose another “futile patient” die-sooner-than-later outcome.

Stone-Eater, you may be correct, <<It is pure hypocrisy to fight against abortion and at the same time make war somewhere and kill EXISTING people.>>  But it is part of our coding as a living creature on earth to form tribes that have a hierarchy organization.  Most are totalitarian organizations but even a democratic nation has a hierarchy structure.  And history has shown that the tribe seek to promote themselves.   Nature for all animals have both a hierarchy organization and a local tribe.  We can see conflicts in the animal kingdom between animal tribes.
Stone-Eater God created a world where survival includes the killing of members of your species.  It is not hypocritical since all animals carry the same code of action.  Even abortion of the new born or young members of a tribe are expendable in the animal world when there is a hierarchy change.   What we are seeing is an attempt to say that a hierarchy change has occurred.
Dino Manalis Added Jan 31, 2019 - 12:37pm
Abortion is a personal moral decision, while people ought to learn to respect life and teach adolescents about sex and the need for personal responsibility.
Thomas Sutrina Added Jan 31, 2019 - 1:05pm

We should oppose any ideology that treats people as worthy of dignity only if they are wanted, healthy, or have a voice to defend themselves. What is being proposed in VA exemplifies oppression under the guise of compassion.
Dino Manalis, your totally correct, this is a moral decision, thus a question of sin for Christians, Jews, and even Muslims and my bet all religions.  Every tribe considers killing a member of the tribe a sin.   So the only way that it can not be a sin is to try to convince that the baby is not a member of the tribe. How that is possible is beyond me.  But if you deny this human a right to be a member then anyone can be arbitrarily removed from the tribe.   Thus free to kill.  The first step of an war is to dehumanize, the human enemy is no a human.  Bigotry is the application of dehumanization that leads to killing becoming acceptable.
This shows that a human can not make rules of other men.  Man always fails,    J. D. Greear should have said reject this ideology reject those that preach this ideology.  The morals come from GOD and not from those preaching the religion of socialism, mans law based religion.  Understand that the peak member of a hierarchy is still a pawn of God's hierarchy.

I understand your argumentation, but .... keeping an unconscious life  on a pipe for years or months is NOT moral but serves only the profit of the hospital/doctors.
Cut it and good is. And.....I can't add more, my point is clear, and "god" has nothing at all to do with that. It is OUR duty to let a life end when it wants to be ended, and also to realize that an aborted 8-week-foetus can't be compared to an 18-year-old youth who has been sent to a war for a cause he in fact doesn't understand.

It's shameful, Thomas.  Abortion and contraception, along with porn and homosexuality all ought to be illegal, and they all were in 1960.
Thomas Sutrina Added Feb 1, 2019 - 8:35am
I do remember the media present the results of coat hanger abortions in the 60's.  Virginia seems to want to go back to those days.  There is a reason when abortions became legal that often was said 'safe and rare.'
Recall that the old testament said you had a human when the fetus moved in the mother.  Which means that abortion in the first term were possible.  68% of the EU nations on the list above only allow abortions in this period, < 13 wks.
Homosexuality has existed for ever. The need to have sex is coded into us.  Since hierarchy is also code into us to improve survival, developing long before mammals came to be.   The result of hierarchy is that the top males impregnate far more then their share of women which means the lower end do not ever have a mate, thus homosexual release of sex desire also coded into us.   The issue is CHOICE.  The Episcopal Church in America has had a homosexual bishop for decades that has a male partner also for decades, the same one, choice of both men.

1. Leave out god for now.
2. We are structured to have our own thoughts and resulting actions. We are NOT preconditioned per se, but have the possibility to JUDGE, no matter what we are TOLD to believe.
Now, we can take the easy way out and go with the MSM (the shepards), or we have the drive to UNDERSTAND and, on occasion, say, no.
And that's why I say: EXISTING life has to be valued and protected, not a cellular mass. I'm not FOR abortion IN GENERAL, but there are situations where it is the best solution. It's INDIVIDUAL.
And as I said in another article:
Imagine when there are NO abortions allowed in the US anymore ? In no time the US will be non-white LOL

Stone eater.<<EXISTING life has to be valued and protected, not a cellular mass. >>  The women in Virginia sponsoring the abortion bill was asked and said yes the bill allows for an abortion  for  <<A dilated women, giving birth, can choose to abort the baby>> The Governor said that the birth can occur before discussing abortion and if yes the 'baby' is aborted after birth.
Stone-eater  are they talking about a cellular mass or not?  When is a human defined?    Seem your saying at the discretion of the state which is what this bill is saying.
The only difference between a baby moments before leaving the womb and a baby outside the womb is documentation. A birth certificate and Social Security card are issued to a child within a few weeks of birth. This paperwork is necessary to make the child an official citizen of the United States, but they cannot actually confer biological personhood status. Personhood may be recognized by words on a page, but the words cannot make a person. Besides, I've been reliably informed that undocumented people are still people and deserve all of the same rights as those of us with documentation.

“North Korea, China, Vietnam, Canada , and USA” is not a title that means anything.
As you point out in your article, the USA is composed of 50 states and those 50 states each have their own rules about abortion.  If a baby/fetus is severely handicapped at birth, I see nothing wrong with terminating its existence.  That’s all the Virginia Governor was saying.  He was not talking about aborting healthy fetuses or babies.
Thomas Sutrina Added Feb 3, 2019 - 8:02am
John Fever, Not many thing to those five countries have in common, this may be the only thing.   And in the first sentence I put in abortion.
Third term abortion yours saying is because of severely handicapped fetus/baby.  Ultra sound which is available by Obamacare and through I assume planed parenthood and other sources in the late first or early second trimester says three OB-GYNS on FOX NEWS is clear enough and with other test will determine any of these defects.  So your then only talking about women that are illegal and should not be here in the first place.  That come in close to delivering.   RED HERRING.
The Virginia governor used the forbidden words when talking about abortion: babe, birth, and abortion.   He unmasked and presented the truth about late term abortion.   "Kermit Barron Gosnell (born February 9, 1941) is an American former physician and abortion provider who was convicted of murdering three infants who were born alive during attempted abortion  procedures; he was also convicted of involuntary manslaughter of one woman during an abortion procedure."  Wikipedia and other sourced and public record.   Also a movie at theaters.

There is no fine line or finer points or nuances, the new abortion is murder, plain and simple.
Thomas Sutrina Added Feb 3, 2019 - 2:04pm
Doug P.,  Christianity is based on salvation theology which says man is a sinner and that he must get salvation as a gift from GOD.  GOD doesn't just hand out salvation to everyone.   Government laws create a Judgement theology.  The judges are there to insert salvation theology, act as a surrogate for GOD.
The Jewish religion said a human doesn't exist until the mother feels it in her womb, doesn't exist for the first trimester basically.   The judges through Planned Parenthood v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 1992  say the women is in full control in the first trimester, basically approving of the Jewish rule.  The state has authority to make rules from then on until the viability of the baby to live outside the womb.  in 92 that was 24 wks and not at least one child has lowered that to 20 wks.    The advancement of equipment and testing should eliminate the exception, however; such unforeseen events can occur that represent far less then a percent do occur so the exception applies.
I personally think stepping back towards the Jewish rule as much of Europe has done allows for salvation theology to take place.
Thomas Sutrina Added Feb 4, 2019 - 10:40am
The supreme court in the case Doe v. Bolton, 410 U.S. 179 (1973), which said an abortion can occur up to 40 wks (full term) for any reason (health of the women) that three doctors sign off on.  Obviously 'any reason' is so broad that in make health of the women meaningless.  Thus the supreme court is saying that the state determines that a human exist.  It is up to a bureaucrat that files the birth certificate or in the case of an homicide of a pregnant women if a bureaucrat decide that the fetus is a human or not.  It can extend from the first week all the way to the 40th week.
Do you think a bureaucrat decision is more important the societies moral code.  Do we not have a moral code in America, what other moral code are going to go by the way side?
So the Nazi solder that throw a Jewish baby in the air and shot the baby in the air or let it crash against the ground is acceptable.  Other societies have had there conquering solders do similar things including ISIS since 2010.
Thomas Sutrina Added Feb 4, 2019 - 10:45am
91% of abortions occur in the first term up to 14 wks..
7 % of abortions occur in the second term up to 22 wks..
1% of abortions occur in the third term up to 40wks (full term).
Three reason commonly given for a "any reason for the health of the women!!!!'  feared raising child alone, damaged child due to taking drugs by parents,  relationship with the father deteriorated.

RATIONAL people can "rationize" anything...
In THIS case, since the proscription against abortion is one rooted in minority opinions based on irrelevant and unproven sky-god myths, the RATIONAL response is to leave the decision up to the ONE person who has the right to make it -- the person who has to allow her body to be used to turn a fertilized zygote into a new born infant.
And then take care of, raise and nurture it for the rest of her life or the progeny's life - whichever comes first...
