Here’s a question for you America First Lovers. As OrangeTweet continues to promote a useless and limited wall to nowhere, Russia, India and Iran are working toward a 7,200-km long lane mixing sea and rail routes essentially linking the Indian Ocean with the Persian Gulf through Iran and Russia and further on down the road, to Europe.

The Japanese are looking toward a revamped Trans-Siberian Railway to improve trade connections with Russia and China. This too will help tie North and South Korea and Vietnam into closer economic ties as well.

There is no invasion here. No military attacks on sovereign countries or military bases being forced on any of them from the outside.

Just maybe that American Imperialism isn’t looking so good and the fact that we are losing on every front may mean that the U.S. is doing something drastically WRONG!

You know, if you really have something beneficial to offer, people will gravitate toward it. Not fight it. They’ll steal it!

Interesting that China and Russia are putting huge sums of money into infrastructure while we keep dumping huge sums of money into military exploits.

The times have reversed ......... the end of the Han Dynasty in America?

President dumbshit, after having been advised that he had just started a new nuclear arms race had this to say:
"Perhaps we can negotiate a different agreement, adding China and others. Or perhaps we can't –- in which case, we will outspend and out-innovate all others by far."

Japan just recently entered into an acute contradiction with Russia over the ownership of the Kuril Islands, so of course it would be unexpected if Japan implemented an infrastructure project together with Russia. I read that China agreed to build a bridge with Russia, with each country having to build its part from its side. Since China has long since built its part, and it still stands unfinished in the middle of the river, because Russia has not yet built its part. As for the US military spending, many critics can be heard today, they are even saying that such a huge army can ruin the state treasury.

To all who decry the effects of globalism - just imagine what the inflation rate will be once everything does reset and results in the US not being able to use the national credit card to buy more than we sell over time. Webmaster, your points are well made and Tubularsock concurs with your observations.
Russia and China and Japan aren’t in perfect harmony for sure.
The point is that they are working toward a cooperative future with less conflict. And yes they still have a long way to go.
The U.S. has a course of destabilization and that does not bode well for peace and stability in the world. We have been on this course for some time and we have lost not only respect on the world stage but trust. And the loss of trust is a costly commodity.
As for North Korea, Trump revved up that situation and then played peace maker. He didn’t solve anything except to calm down what he started.
The ONLY reason North Korea wants nuclear firepower is that they have noticed that countries that have given up that capability get themselves overthrown by American Imperialism.

Japan is not in the mix, but Russia and China have created an alternative world.
Russia's CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Org)  includes the Central Asian nations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and some European nations
The CSTO has a combined air force and a rapid strike force similar to NATO.
China has created the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Org) that also includes the Central Asian nations and Russia. it also includes a lot of other Asian nations. It plans to include Iran. Russia plans to include Iran in her CSTO.
China has also created BRICS (Brazil Russia, India, China South Africa. AIIB (Asia Infrastructure and Investment Bank) that now includes a good deal of Europe
16+1 Org that includes 16 Eastern European nations
the OBOR (One belt One Road) which is connecting all the old silk roads and creating new maritime paths across Eurasia.
That includes a rail line across Brazil connecting the Atlantic with the Pacific
Since 2011 China produced more gold than South Africa and she imported almost as much as India. Today China's Gold holdings are the 6th largest
China made her yuan into the "Petro Yuan". and as the world's largest oil consumer she gets to dictate to oil sellers which currency to use. (just as we did in the 70's)
In innovation, China is way ahead of the world in
Fusion technology.

Glad to provide infor. You are actually right in the sense that Japan is moving closer to China and away from America due to the economic war. both China and Japan continue to sell American bonds and have not bought as much. I believe they have not bought any American bonds in 2018 and only sold.
A few days ago I saw a movie on Amazon called the "Dragons Blade". It is fiction about the Roman Empire vs the Chinese Army but in actuality, it is about the economic trade war between China and America.
That is my conclusion and is not stated anywhere. It becomes obvious as the theme is centered on the "silk roads" (a term not used by ancient China).  and does a fairly good job of portraying America as the warmonger and China as peace seeker. you may want to see it. It is also highly action-packed and mostly in English.
I would assume this is the first feature movie based on the Economic war Trump started against China.

I’m as opposed to a wall in remote parts of the desert too.  However, all the countries you named, including America, have walls and other barriers at high-density border areas.  Certainly we can figure out a way to name it what it needs to be named so that both sides of the political aisle can move on to other matters.
Speaking of other matters, imperialism and infrastructure spending have nothing to do with a wall.  So why that became the focus of your article makes for a disjointed title or off-topic body.
Speaking of imperialism, name one country America has invaded and annexed at gun point?  Speaking of infrastructure spending, America spends tons of money on it and much of it serves to improve trade with other countries.

Sam Nowaczynski, thank you for your comment and insights.
Tubularsock too is in favor of boarder security and at present millions of dollars are and have been spent to increase and improve border barriers in populated area.
The Border Patrol has an increased manpower and their budget and pretty much has all the equipment necessary to protect the boarders.
And in the future there will be adjustments in order to maintain security.
That being said one has to take into consideration the question, Why are these Central Americans leaving their own countries seeking protection in the United States?
To answer that question one would have to spend some time reviewing the U.S. foreign policy toward Latin America and why that policy supported U.S. corporate profit and U.S. control (via backing dictators to do our bidding) over the welfare of the populations of the area.
WE as a nation helped to create the problems that we now are experiencing.
A complete reversal of U.S. policy would go a long way to stop in the future what we are creating right now .......... Venezuela is a prime example of poor U.S. policy.
As for imperialism and infrastructure spending. If we would reverse the money we spend on these two items you’d see a far more prosperous American population!
Oh Sam, “name one country America has invaded and annexed at gun point”. Well, the entire area that we now call our country!
Sam, no more easy questions .......... Cheers.

But because a lot of people regularly do comment, it is obvious you are saying something. Therefore, I am going to tell you what I am hearing and see if I am close.
The Pope who lives safely behind some of the tallest walls in the world, declared that Trump should build bridges and not walls. He writes this while Rome is being trashed by barbarians at the gate.
So, if I hear you right, you are saying we should be building trains and not barriers against the barbarians who are at our gate.
Another thing I believe I hear you saying on my posts is that, like the woman who said "Mother, I’d rather do it myself." You are saying you would rather to invent your own religion.

Tubularsock Added Feb 11, 2019 - 8:09pm
Don, welcome amigo.
The difficulty of responding to your interesting questions is that much of what you are asking and or stating needs a great deal of historical background.
But Tubularsock likes a challenge and will attempt a short cut to save both of us a lot of time here.
So let Tubularsock start with your second comment post first.
One of the major reasons Central Americans are leaving their own countries is NOT that “. . . their political and cultural values failed them”.
These people are just like you and Tubularsock. Hard working, family oriented, loving and caring people.
The majority do not wish to leave their homes but because of a history of U.S. foreign policies which have ruined their economies and the U.S. assisting dictators that will do our bidding the countries have been devastated.
Now the U.S. is not the only one to blame but because Tubularsock calls it out is because it is OUR country. And it is a primary example of the hypocrisy and loss of our own stated political and cultural values that we run around spouting.
There is plenty of information on this subject available if you really care to know.
Now, lets get our terms correct ......... “barbarians at the gate” is a great descriptive and fear mongering term BUT there absolutely are NO ..... barbarians at any gate .... NONE!
We are talking about PEOPLE here, men, women, and children that are running from fear. And as a “moral nation” (an oxymoron in truth) we are obligated by international law to take them in and protect them.
That does not mean that they all are eligible but the process we have agreed to conduct and do it in a humanitarian way. THAT is our signed agreement. And you can see how that is working out.
Which is showing the world that our signature is of no value and THAT will bite us in the butt soon enough. Mark Tubularsock’s words.
Now let Tubularsock answer your question: “are (you) saying we should be building trains and not barriers”?
YES! Don, we already have barriers they are not going to be taken away. They have already been improved and the border patrol budget and been increased.
Our infrastructure in this country is in total disrepair and Tubularsock is sure you remember the state of Rome’s infrastructure when it collapsed.
Maybe not such a good thing to follow Rome’s example, you think?
We need to start to rebuild America rather than continue to bomb the rest of the world.
And then last but not least ........ “You are saying you would rather to invent your own religion.”
NO, Don, Tubularsock’s beliefs predate even the mental construct of “religion” as you call it.
The “religion” you speak about was created as a social Control Mechanism and obvious is still working.
It is what Karl Marx explained as “the opiate of the masses”.
Tubularsock’s beliefs are “an inside job” which is present in you as well but you have just misdirected it.
Makes no difference really, enjoy what you wish. It’ll all come out in the wash.
Thanks Don for the comment.

Tube I lived and worked in Latin America.  As a staff member in the Peace Corps, we were well educated in their ways in order for us to fit in. They are lovable people.
But following are some of their failed values.  They lack the value of private property.  This comes from the robber conquistadors and the common property of the Indians.
From the Indians they got the patrone system that sets them up for letting strong  men lead , dictatorship and the resulting political systems.
They don’t have our Protestant Ethic which makes many of us believe we are on earth for a purpose.  Latins work motivated for survival.
There are other problematic values but I’ll quit for now.

Back in 2000 he had received a "premonition" and that "a certain man would lead America back to God"—and that man would be none other than Donald J. Trump.
"The millionaire playboy from New York?" the incredulous interviewer is said to have asked?
"Yes," the Hermit of Loreto responded, adding he was so sure Donald Trump would become a great spiritual leader of America that he wrote his name on a brick and had it placed in the reconstruction of St. Peter's Holy Door after the Jubilee so Trump would receive blessings from the many Masses that would be said in the Vatican. Yes, political and religious systems are failing  them.  The Catholic Church did not serve them well in giving them the sort of materialistic values that we have.    By the way what did I say that made you accuse me of proselytizing?  You made a big leap here.

Stone, Tubularsock would say Trump is just "another DICK in the wall"! But who counts anyway.

Michael B Bagala, Tubularsock thanks you for the link. Now Tubularsock is enlightened and is humming that damn song. Well done!

Damn opher, please no outlandish ideas for Trump! If the fucker heard it he may be prone to do it and a tunnel wouldn’t work either, by the way!

Another problem for us with this flood of unasimulated immigrants is cognitive and moral development. Psychologists teach that cognitive development results from the push of the environment. A simple environment requires little cognitive development. Moral development parallels cognitive.
The lowest level of moral development is in early childhood. Here morality is based on avoidance of punishment. Later in childhood, cognitive development allows for morality as social contract. For example, you can’t play soccer if you have no rules.
Finally, in early adolescence, cognitive development allows for philosophical development of morality.
In the 60's when I served in Honduras and Nicaragua, large numbers of the children had left school, if they went at all, by the third grade. Primitive farming required little cognitive development. So, many of them stayed at that lower level of morality–avoid punishment.
Many did not reach the social contract level, and even less, reach the upper levels of both intellectual and moral development. Cheating in my college class was taken for granted and carried out right before me.
Bottom line, as I see the illegals scrambling over the fences with no respect for why there are laws, I know we are in trouble. Send them home and they will be back. The trick is just don’t get caught.

Don, you are something else.
Trust Tubularsock here Don, very few Peace Corps members EVER “fit in” wherever they were assigned. They were perhaps “well meaning foreigners” but “fit in” isn’t a matter of education or understanding.
Also where in the world did YOU pick up the idea that living as a community and sharing and helping each other is a failed value?
And private property is NOT a value it is an economic system used by some cultures BUT THERE IS NO inherently “good” built into it!
And then the “. . .patron system that sets them up for letting strong men lead, dictatorship” sounds pretty much like your own bowing and scraping all over the place about Trump.
Maybe that is a “value” YOU LEARNED from those “Indians”.
And then the “Protestant Ethic” is a belief structure best left to Protestants to busy themselves but PLEASE leave the rest of us alone!
Don, “. . . I see the illegals scrambling over the fences with no respect for why there are laws . . .” but Don, they wouldn’t be doing that if they weren’t trying to find a safe place for their families.
It has nothing to do with a lack of respect for laws! It is called at chance at survival!

Always fun for Tubularsock to hear from you Don, cuidar y estar a salvo, mi amigo.

Tube, so what you are saying is that if other countries are building bridges, its wrong for America to be building walls.  That is your argument . . . without the nonsense and inflammatory language.
That is like saying I won't put a fence around my yard because my neighbor just built a gate in theirs.
Oh, and then you need to throw in the military and all the wars we are currently in right now for good measure.  Where are all these American wars?
Anyway, I have long understood that logical arguments are lost on the rationally unencumbered (those not to be burdened with logic).
The left has abandoned reason for madness.  That is the reality.
Don Added Feb 13, 2019 - 9:49am
Blackface this thread is about walls.  I try not to take anyone’s blog off into the weeds.  I also don’t have respect for people who do drive by shooting like you did above.  So I invite you to come over to any of my threads and back up your statement.
Tubularsock Added Feb 13, 2019 - 12:27pm
Spartacus, thank you for your comment.
You have conveniently missed the entire point, Spartacus.
And the point is, while other countries are realigning themselves for the future in the 21st and 22nd Centuries WE have a President that believes that the solutions to our problems are bringing back coal from the 18th Century and building walls without the realization that far more people and drugs fly and float into our country than that cross the Southern Border in cars or on foot.
Just how complicated is that for you, Spartacus?
And you may find it a new idea but our military exploits has caused this country far more problems than solutions when you review the results.
And you may want to get this through your self described “logical” head ...... for ever action there are consequences and those can be traced historically. THAT is what “blowback” is all about!
And your silly question about “Where are all these American wars?”
Well close your eyes and point anywhere on a world map and you’ll find when you open your eyes the American military/CIA bombing, killing, training, funding some forces of war. That is what we do as well as fund the private war contractors who do our bidding.
As China is busy in Africa creating economic ties WE are helping cause enemies with our “secret” military penetration. And the President can’t find Africa on a map and still believes that Africa is a country!
Oh the glories of the stupid leading the stupid!

Ya.  Ok Tube.  Whatever you say.  LOL.
You should don some pom-poms and a skirt.  That might make your hurrah-sis-boom-bah campaign and propaganda much more compelling for the NPC's here.
Its too bad a complete dolt such as yourself fails to understand that those countries who are building those marvelous structures can only do this because America has been forking over its military, at a huge cost to the USA taxpayer, to keep the world from another massive war.   Those "road-building" nations invite our military to stabilize those same regions and love our "worldwide military donations".
I for one say, "Stop fixing other nation's problems and let them go back to fighting".  We will see then how many "international improvement projects" get built.  But you are too stupid to understand any of this . . . so carry on!
Michael B Bagala Added Feb 13, 2019 - 1:57pm
You are assuming that other nations would put aside massive amounts for defense. Most won't, not in Europe because they do not have any agenda nor does Russia.
We have 1 thousand bases around the world. They are not there to protect America but to extend the power of the elite.
As for cost, our defense industry is one of the biggest money makers. They sell 100's of billions worth in weapons to wars often stoked by our policies.
DC and the Weapons industry work together. There is profit in wars.
Spartacus Added Feb 13, 2019 - 2:31pm

Then I wonder why those countries still want our military stationed in their own countries.  Gawd, you idiots never think through any of the nonsense you type.
Trump threatens to pull our bases out of Europe and those NATO countries then start contributing their NATO dues.  No?  Just a coincidence?  Hardly.
We have 1 thousand bases around the world.
Whose "we"?  You are not a US citizen by your own admission.
Tubularsock Added Feb 13, 2019 - 2:44pm
Spartacus, YES we agree!
And the point here is WE should pull out of these continuous wars that WE are paying for and spend our money on infrastructure within the U.S.!!!!!
Build our own country and as you say, "Stop fixing other nation's problems and let them go back to fighting"!
On top of that WE freeze ALL selling military supplies to ALL nations of the world. Let them build their own!
And now that we are rolling WE stop ALL economic sanctions with ALL nations and just enter into economic contracts with them instead.
Just why Spartacus, do we call China and Russia “enemies” but WE spend billions of dollars buying shit from them? How is that logical?
Any thoughts?
Michael B Bagala Added Feb 13, 2019 - 6:17pm
Politically Japan and Germany want us out. In addition Japan wants to build her own military, and has the money, talent and will to rebuild her military. We are holding her back
Germans also want us out but unlike Japan they have been beaten down to this day. Yes we have 1000 bases around the world. the one in Iraq is larger than the Vaitcan.
I apologize for using the term "we". you are right. I am not a citizen and never can be, even though my parents brought me here when I was a kid, and even though I took allegiance and got my citizenship Even though my Father who was a Doctor and served you white folk till the day he died and even though my mud mother also lived and died here we are mud people and unlike a white man like you and your overlords the JEWS I nor my family could ever qualify to be a citizen.
It is fine with me. I will be leaving for Europe soon. n the meantime I will be using the royal "we" for convenience sake. Try not to have a seizure over it and if you do I am sure your JEW lover will save your white ass.

Next time you sing the National Anthem to that Masonic Dish Rag, remember these immortal words
"Home of the Wankers and Land of the Bankers" as you take your marching orders from Tel Aviv
Also you can sing this WASP Song
I Sigh for Jews
I Die  for Jews
Every night I hope and pray
Jew lover will come my way
Jew to hold in my arms
And know the magic of It's charms
'Cause I want a Jew
To call my own
I wanna Jew lover
So I don't have to Screw alone
Jew lover, where are you?
With a love, oh, so true
And the claw that I can hold
To feel you near as I grow bold

You lefties are the biggest racists of our day.  When you type your shit here you do us all a great justice and expose the absolute horror show that resides just below the facade of the left's "moral outrage".

Just why Spartacus, do we call China and Russia “enemies” but WE spend billions of dollars buying shit from them? How is that logical?
Because we are not at war with them.
I do not call China and Russa "enemies".  You do.  Not sure why you do.  They are competitors in world trade, world politics, and have their own nation's interest to defend.  Many times, their interests are not ours.  Understandable.  Not sure why you call them "enemies" unless you are stuck in some three-decade-old, anti-communist era.  You should wake up, pull your head out, and check out reality.
It would be ironic and comical if not for how mortally dangerous your side embraces communism today.  You bozos from the left have no idea the danger you are courting.  It's sad, really.  If the left ever gains political power like they once held in America, our nation is over.  Not only that but unimaginable tragedy and death.  Your inflammatory hate-speech here will only bring a certain civil war in the US.  There is no intellectual merit coming out of the left.  This article is a great example.
Fortunately, the leftist propaganda machine is declining.  Mainstream news networks are shedding viewers like a dog in spring.  The days of Hollywood blockbusters is long in the past.  They no longer produce movies for America -- only for their racist & intersectional cult.  Movie-goers are at a twenty year low.
Congratulations.  Your cult has destroyed the biggest value the left brought to the USA -- entertainment.  Entertainment was the one thing that made the left's messages frontstage & compelling to most Americans.  Now that is all dying.  Your messages and that of your racist cult will destroy everything it touches.

Stop spewing Jewberish. Our entire foreign policy is heavily influenced by Israel. You see no problem in that.
Our culture has been gutted by Jews: you see no problem in that
Our economy has been turned into a predatory debt-ridden mess: Jews are behind that.
As far as left and right Jews are on both sides.

You seem to be angry within the confines of a THEM vs. US construct and thereby you seem to be not capable of seeing anything other than your projection.
Which makes discussing anything with you a waste of time.

Funny that just 3 or 4 years ago, to Republicans, Russia was the "Red Menace" and they were still referring to China as "Red China".
Now that Trump has commanded his minions to admire our adversaries and abandon our allies, we get people like Willy "Spartacus" saying  "I do not call China and Russia "enemies".
During the Bush and Obama years, Republicans were telling people "if you don't like it here in America, go back to Russia, you commie pinko!"
Total hypocrisy!
Amazing how many people can be totally controlled by one Orange Idiot!
